I am also familiar with the early attempts to get CIR to be used for both Testo and Nandrolone and the rejection of such by the IOC as they would have to clear many they had banned.

The IOC labs were a closed shop and would not allow outsiders to contribute even though they were world experts in CIR.

For the zillionth time, there is no 2 mile world record. That's no technicality, it was decided long ago by WA. 7:58 was worth about 7:24 for 3000.

2-mile is a "world best" because WA recognizes it is a rarely-contested off distance and soft by definition.

1-mile, by comparison, does qualify as a world record. 3000 barely qualifies, but it's common enough. El G could have beat 7:20 if he'd focused on it.

You never get that your verbal compost only shows a mind that cannot get to the point nor knows what it is. Running shoes are a type of shoe that has changed little in half a century - except for its "innovations" being sold as marketing hype, as everything is now. There are world records still standing that were performed in shoes designed and made way back in the last century.

If you had bothered to read or had any knowledge of the sport you would have noted that they can be rather inconsistent.

I thought you would be most compelled by the words of a Canadian sport magazine.

Like training, and track surfaces, and running clothes, running shoes have dramatically change in the last half-century. Somehow your extreme faith in the power of doping completely blinds you to other realities in the last five decades. You have let half a century of life pass you by.
