We have merged two threads on this topic into 1 and kept the title of the longer thread. The other thread was called, "Adeline Johnson, high school senior, misses state due to biological male taking the last spot in California."
PEDS give an unfair advantage to the user, this is a BOO. A male with the superior physique also has an unfair advantage over female athletes, yep, another BOO......right?
How could anyone have such a low self respect as these trans weirdo's? You are such a worm ya have to play with the girls, really guy? Time to stop playing along with this BS and put a stop to it now, tell the kid to snap out of it he isn't a girl......OBVIOUSLY~~~~~~~~~~~~
No parent should allow their daughter around these freaks. I wouldn't.
Where was all this when I was in school? Nobody had any problems figuring out......I;m a boy,....why the confusion now?
How could anyone named Mike by his parents not get it? A Joe a Tom a Phil should give it away as to what you are, so what is this trans BS really about?
I would be ashamed of my son if the best he could do was compete vs girls. Where is that self respect at? Actually I'm not allowing it.
As an old man he is showing pictures to his grand kids.......here I am beating the girls at tHe league meet. Grand daughter......you ran against girls grandpa?
Never seen anything more stupid that this stuff, it's crazy.

Hm interesting. The girls from Sonoma and Buckley are both listed, but as are the 4th-place girl from NCS and the 7th-place girl from SS. I wonder what is going to happen at states.... The girl from Buckley has a VERY good chance of medaling, and people aren't gonna be happy about that. I'm expecting protests.
Edit: look at 1:32 in the video. Barrett surges into first without even trying. "She" obviously was holding back just like Lia Thomas did.
man that is tough to watch.. imagine being the chick that misses out on qualifying because some mentally ill dude wants to compete against the girls cause he is JV quality
1. trans people deserve the rights and dignity afforded to everyone in society
2. but, the girls who lost a state qualifying spot *to a woman* who has a undeniable biological advantage over her competitors are also real people, with real feelings. there needs to be a larger conversation about this at higher levels in CIF. this is a complicated issue, with no easy way out, but much of the conversation i see her are either people who simply refuse to see facts or straight-up transphobes.
these aren’t single cases of women with these types of advantages either. in a CIF section that shall go unnamed, a trans girl won 4 events at her league finals, before scratching at her section trials, i assume due to pushback from a wide variety of places. i have very little doubt that she would have made states, had she continued to compete.
1. They already had that but we've gotten to a point where we've over accommodated to their mentally ill needs and it's adversely affecting others.
You (i.e. trans activists) can't make absolute statements like 'trans women are women", "you don't need to physically transition or have gender dysphoria to be trans", etc. then only invoke 'passing' trans people to support your argument when it's convenient.
If you actually believe in your ideology then you also need to justify the inclusion of this 'woman' in women's spaces:
What exactly is the problem with her using a women’s bathroom? Do Bob5034’s daughter and wife go to public restrooms for sex activities? Is he afraid she’ll steal his daughter’s virginity and define his wife‘s purity with her bathroom colocation privilege?
No, they go there for activities other than being sexually assaulted and to use be in a safe space and not be creeped on by some weirdo dude pretending to be a woman.
What is this thing called “states” you speak of? Do you mean the state meet? Why don’t you say that? Or “state?” The shortening you choose makes no sense. There’s only one meet. Is it maybe because many other states have several divisions for their high school track and field championships (resulting in a “participation trophy” look), while in California, all schools, all enrollments compete for one championship per event. Gee, I hope Ellen makes “states” sounds stupid.
Adeline Johnson is in because Ellie Buckley scratched and is running only the 3200. You all know Ryan ran in the State meet last year also? And State XC? This ain't new people.
This really feels like there is no solution at this point, with trans participation in sports rising (due to less prejudice/bigotry against trans people and more acceptance).
it is not bigoted to believe someone with a penis is a man and should not compete in class reserved for people with vaginas... the solution is simple, you're just an idiot.
That's all well and good in theory but I've never heard a trans activitist answer this very simple question:
What's the difference between a male using a female bathroom because he believes it aligns with his 'true' gender; and a male using a female bathroom because he's pretending it aligns with his true gender? Or put more simply: how is a vulnerable woman/young girl in a female-only space supposed to know the difference between a trans woman and someone pretending to be a trans woman?
Correct answer: she can't. Normalising male presence in female-only spaces is a safeguarding nightmare with real world consquences and we need to stop putting girls at further risk from predatory men.

What the hell do we do? Lose-lose-lose.
1) Allow trans to compete with actual women - trans have unfair advantage and steal medal/podium spots from real women.
2) Bar trans from sports - oppression, trans treated like low class citizens, which they don’t deserve
3) Separate trans category - if you make prize/recognition equal, it will just be dominated by lazy men or trolls who can’t win male category. If less prize/recognition (likely result), then trans will rightfully feel like their category is a joke and suffer basically same as above. 4) ????? am I missing an option or is there no hope ???
Actually, #1 is the best solution. The only thing I would add is that runner shouldn’t be encouraged to whine and protest when they lose. Sports are not fair, so complaining about “unfair advantages” is a waste of time.
I’m noticing a pattern with a certain kind of political slant here:
lose a race - complain that it was unfair
lose an election - complain that it was unfair
lose out on a spot at a college or a job - complain that it was unfair
