Butler should win the 800m going away but her last couple races this season seems like she has struggled a bit? Last year at ACCs she split 4:29 on anchor, this year 4:34.97. She did have a PR in the 1000 and mile earlier this season but I am growing concerned for her at nationals.
Seeland is looking really sharp, has run 2:02 outdoors. She could take the win also.
Don’t sleep on Mitchell from BC, 2:03 and 4:35 this season. Looked great in prelim running 2:04 closing in 30.6
3000 will have Tuohy vs Marzich both after a days rest, maybe Bush and Maatog after running their 3rd race in 2 days, a totally fresh Chisholm and Curtis-Collins (9:00) as well as Roarck, Brown, Appelton, Churchill, Vestri coming off day 1 races - that is a large number of sub 9:05 in a conference race
In fairness, not really Tuohy vs anyone in the 3. She'll do as she pleases for the win and the others will battle for 2nd and PBs. Seymour could actually win the 1st heat if she entered that one.
Maatog is clearly just preparing for the DMR/800/mile/3000 quadruple at nationals.
Maatoug is clearly all about her teammates. She just moved Duke into first place by 8 points with just the 4x400 remaining. Duke just clinched the team title. What a freaking effort for the team.
