Despite Johnson’s statements to law enforcement, Huntington County Prosecutor Jeremy Nix offered a plea deal following the victim’s deposition. Johnson accepted the deal Dec. 20, pleading guilty to identity deception. The child seduction and kidnapping charges were dismissed.
“That was a plea deal that I ended up offering to Mr. Johnson after his attorneys deposed the victims for counts one, two and three,” Nix said. “The victim there was extremely uncooperative.”
Nix said that in order to prosecute some of the counts, it “would require the victim to testify consistently with what she told police,” but the victim “indicated in her deposition that she was not going to do that.”

No to all of this. This post is stupid and manipulative garbage.
We are not "obsessed" with this case because we are sexual deviants, you fool. We are talking about it because it is a galling elephant in the room, and at this point to not discuss it would be stupid.
We all know about the case, and to sit back and watch a runner who we know this happened to and not have any material concern for her safety would be callous.
I understand that it's not pleasant to have this case discussed, but it honestly sounds like you just want people to shut up about it, so that Nick and Lauren can just continue abusing. We all know that they are still in contact with runners on the team including "Victim 1".
I understand why Rojo gave up on censoring threads about this issue. It isn't going away. Plus, Addy, now an adult, did come forward in support of her coaches, and publicly trashed the accusers. We are allowed to discuss that.

You’re the one keeping the thread entertaining.
Also, I do think it’s hard to respect someone’s anonymity when they actively choose to go on TV and defend the perpetrators. Not saying everything that’s been said has been appropriate, but we wouldn’t be here talking about this if Huntington U had correctly handled the situation themselves, so maybe you can blame them instead of random people online.

I did at first but that interview just made me not gaf about her or her accomplishments when she's still willing to side with the coaches and bash female victims. So whatever. Idc how many teams she makes she's gonna forever have this cloud over her head until she stops associating with these people. With that being said, I hope she gets out of that mess and has a great career and life.

Read the recent Dyestat article. Huntington wants her to focus in pro races and she is focused on USATF outdoors, sleeping in an altitude tent. Of course it helps HU to have her run pro races, raises the profile of the HU program, plus she sets NAIA records and helps HU win championships along the way.
