Most people its worse. I was reading in WSJ today how with inflation more people are choosing to live with roommates now. Has anyone's quality of life actually improved?
Are your kids better off from 2 years of democrat induced lockdowns? Do you feel like their math skills are better or worse as a result? Are they more prepared for college?
Do you feel like it's easier to retire today vs 2 years ago?
Do you feel safer from crime in your location than 2 years ago?
These are all questions voters will be asking themselves in 2 weeks. I'll let you determine what that means for Democrats.
I'll give a serious answer to this - voting blue in the midterms (voted Biden). I don't compare today to 4 years ago. COVID happened followed by a Russian invasion. We were going to feel the hurt from that regardless of who is in office.
I remember the early days of the pandemic. I despised how Trump handled the covid response. For this reason I voted Biden and was overall pleased with how he went about things.
I don't have children, but I hear you. Personally, I think the school lockdowns were a mistake. I have relatives who are teachers who would have gladly been in person teaching. It seems like it was the unions who messed things up.
As far as retirement, I'm young (28 years old). My salary is higher than it's ever been and I'm buying stocks right now at a discount. Long term I'm in great shape.
Safety isn't a concern for me at the moment. Crime in my city is very localized and I live in a decent area.
On top of this, I'm pro choice and very pro green energy. The democrats are the only political party I see with the chops to move that ball forward (albeit way slower than I would like).

Two years ago we had food bank lines that stretched for miles, unemployment numbers that were the highest since the Great Depression, and I couldn't even buy toilet paper.
Chips are more expensive? No problem. Everyone who wants a job has one, covid is a fading memory, I'm no longer required to wear a mask at work, and I can travel anywhere I want again. I'll happily take today over two years ago.
In spite of all the negative press, Joe Biden brought us through Covid in a better position than our European or Asian friends. Covid hit all countries economically. Our inflation is less than most European countries. Our unemployment rate has been very low and for the first time in a while new college grads can find good paying jobs. Very few people worry about losing jobs because of a bad economy. People say they are not confident in the economy but their behavior says differently. They spend freely as if they are not worried about finances. After 4 years of Trump increasing national deficit, Biden has reduced our national deficit by a record 1.4 trillion dollars. The thousands of dollars of stimulus money people have received have reduced the sting of inflation (people seem to forget that). Biden led the charge to reduce drug prices (Republicans fought that). Biden addressed gas shortage.
By the way I hate the way democrats can lose elections. They don't know how convey an effective message to shape opinions and narrative.

Good post, you are an independent thinker. You have not bought all the Republican nonsense about how horrible everything is financially. Most people I know are doing well.
Is anyone here doing worse because of the economy? Everyone I know, including young extended family members, are doing great with good secure well paying jobs.
Anyone here suffering financially due to Biden's economy. Anyone?

You must not know anyone who owns a home, has a 401K, who buys their own groceries, etc. I’ve worked hard the past two years, saved appropriately, etc. and I probably lost a quarter of a million dollars of net worth over that timeframe due to Biden’s economic policies.

If you can't afford groceries or are too poor to retire maybe you should take responsibility and get a better job or move to another town. You've probably got one of those jobs that pays a salary you're "not supposed to be able to live off"...

The stock market and housing market are above pre-pandemic levels. Looking at this through a 2 year lens is nonsense.
But the Biden model worked like a charm. Hide a mentally decrepit candidate in his basement, don't allow him to talk to media, pretend he's moderate (to appeal to middle voters), then once he's in office surround him with Marxists who manipulate & control him.
"I support fracking and I don't I support fracking and I stand and I do support fracking."
The USA was not founded with the intent of being a democracy. The founders realized that a democracy is too unwieldy for a large country so they opted for a republican form of government, one based on levels of representation. A pure democracy is just the opposite of a pure autocracy.

He’s probably getting $20k of student loans forgiven
