19:19 for a 6k is insane, its going to be a huge challenge breaking that ... if katelyn has full control of how her season should go, she will try to go for that record for sure !!
plus, nuttycombe is just going to be
nc state, new mexico, nau
after nc state beat unm and bama convincingly even without shaw and chmiel, i dont think any other teams can challenge them for that back to back title TBH

I show a whole lot of teams at Nuttycombe including AR, CO, DUK (who has a new runner running real well), OR (chance to see them and maybe Zarbo), WV (ie McCabe) plus NM and NAU and others
Air Force Arkansas BYU Colorado Colorado State Duke Florida State Furman Georgetown Gonzaga Harvard (W) Indiana Michigan Michigan State Minnesota NC State New Mexico North Carolina Northern Arizona Notre Dame Oregon Oregon State Providence Stanford Syracuse ? Toledo Tulsa Utah Utah State Utah Valley Washington West Virginia Wisconsin Washington State ?
You still think she works harder than anyone which is not true
she has both immense talent and immense work ethic, and her drive to succeed is unlike any other.. 8 years of winning national titles, middle school, high school, college and shes still not sick of it, still not sick of the very high level of training and running, not sick of the toll it takes on her mentally and physically, the amount of pressure and eyes on her is unlike any other and that is just one of the many reasons why i say she works the hardest, her circumstances are different than everyone, despite being one of the best, it seems like she always have something to prove
Only one runner went under 20 last year, Mccabe, who won it in 19:57. I wonder why the times were so much slower last year, weather maybe? 19:19 seems crazy fast.

A good act does not wash out the bad, nor a bad act the good
its so funny how people think all natalie cook do is 20 miles per week 😂 because its what she decided to tell the public 😂😂
look at her built, no fat at all, all muscle and bones, you dont get muscles from just running 20 miles per week which indicates that she cross trains immensely
You're being super condescending to people who believe what she said when you literally believe what she said, and you're so smug about it even though you obviously haven't looked into it at all. If you had, you'd know that she (and her coaches) said she cross trains immensely.

I was very impressed with New Mexico. They are incredibly deep. At Joe Piane, New Mexico's top 7 all were in before the Wolfpack's 5th (Gianna Quarzo). And NC State only won by 12 points. And, of course, it was a 5k. Who knows what would happen in a 6k, and whether New Mexico's runners could have closed that 12 point gap. It could basically be a tie between the Wolfpack and Lobos on a 6k (without Chmiel).
Assuming Chmiel is somewhat near top form (at least top 20 at nationals) and everyone else on NC State stays healthy, I think they are in very good shape come Nationals, and "should" defeat everyone else "somewhat easily". But if Chmiel isn't in top form, then while NC State might still be slight favorites, I think it will be very close at nationals, and New Mexico, Alabama, NC State, or Oklahoma State could all win.
Is it possible they set up the start position wrong in 2015?
I mean she ran it several times and ran 1940 and 20 minutes
Looks like the finish line is at a designated spot but I'd have to guess the course was short that year
Or who knows maybe some of the turns were different and it got shortened that way
Anyway 2018 on YouTube is a pretty fast race and they ran a 1940 in good conditions
Ostrander was fast running a 1520 5k later in 2016....
But still it doesn't seem to make sense
Yeah I agree. It seems like an outlier compared to other times of Allie's and other times to win. Allie was an amazing runner so not to take away from that but it does stand out.
Monson won in 2019 in 19:39 beating Kelati and lacctic rated that a 15:24. 5 went sub 20.

Mccabes time was rated 15:28.
What is really crazy is Seidel won the 2015 NCAA championship over Allie with a time of 19:28.6 at the flat course in Louisville. Windy but dry.
