The only runner who has better stats than Sophomore Saddie is Sophomore Katelyn Tuohy.
Uhhh, dude, 16 yr old Sadie has run a mile that is over 10 seconds faster than what KT ran at that age, and again, Sadie’s 1500m PB is almost 8secs faster than K. Tuohy’s at that age.
Tuohys 406 1500 would be good for 403 in a pro race... Considering she led from the gun honestly maybe even 402
And we already know she has great endurance from Cross country
I'm surprised no one is mentioning this as sort of a distinguishing Factor
Until other young distance runners show that they have the potential to go sub 4 in the 1500. Then I wouldn't consider them elite potential on the world stage for the 5k or 10k...Maybe some of the high school phenoms that are currently running fast at the mile will show better endurance but so far they look more like mile specialists...
Anyway, Endurance can only get you so far, unless you want to move up to the marathon you need speed even at 10k
Did you consider my posts on this thread? I bolded the section of your post, that you should reconsider in light of Sadie’s cross-country results.
Sadie has demonstrated great mid-distance results on the track. Whether she should remain there (like Coe), or be more of a 1500m-5000m type (like Jakob) remains to be seen, but the latter seems a possibility.
Last year, at the country’s largest high school cross-country meet, the fastest women’s time in the 40yr history of the Woodbridge Classic was set in a time of 15:43.5.
Sophomore Sadie ran 15:42.6 on that three-mile course a couple of weeks ago.
If by stating a simple fact, OK. I think she set the 5000, 3200 and mile in ine four month period.
and, not one pacer, timing light, or any competition to speak of.. That is an advantage the current athletes have - more faster competition than a few years back.
I hopefully am objectively looking at results, and hopefully do not draw inordinate attention to Sadie E. from the likes of the Tuohy stalkers.
That said, if Sadie E. (obviously a big if) can continue to improve as she matures, then we might never see her run in the NCAA, because if she truly is a ‘generational talent’ (a term being thrown around on this thread by others), she could end-up going pro out of high-school.
Katelyn was just a normal high school kid. I think for the 3200m she took a test, got a ride to White Plains and broke the record no frills stule. The kids after her really started pulled out the stops.
Who cares dude, this is a thread about college runners
Did it ever cross your mind that 90, 95% of girls who are 19 and 20 are slower than they were at 16...
I mean we all wish her the best but it'll be 3 years before we know if she'll be any good in college and there's no sense in going on and on when the thread about college runners

Have fun Tuohy fans on yet another somewhat ridiculous Tuohy thread. 😊
you look at saddie's prs and the only thing shes faster is at 1500m and mile on their freshman times, if saddie can break all of katelyn tuohy's hs records then thats the time you can come up here and brag about prs
heres a list of katelyn's national records:
i5000m 15:37 (15 years old)
3200m 9:47 (16 years old)
Mile 4:33 (16 years old)
3000m 9:01 (17 years old)
plus going undefeated for 3 years in cross country and had 30+ race win streak, 3x national champion + breaking all course record on every venue she ran, also some very popular and tough courses like holmdel and bowdin!
last time i checked, saddie hasnt broken any of these records, so just calm down.
With the meet this weekend at Holmdel, I’m reminded of the 16:21 Tuohy ran there— maybe you have to be from NJ to really appreciate just how crazy that time is. It’s a competitive boys time. To me the greatest cross country race ever run by an American HS girl

This has the results. As you can see very few boys in any of the races ran faster than 16:21 that day. The fastest time of the day by anyone was 16:00. the "elites performances" has the fastest time
Let's see what KT does tomorrow, seems State is bringing all the big guns,

Good timing they all got out of Dodge before the hurricane hit!!! Sucks for anyone left behind!!! I guess they'll have to board up the athletic department!!!
