There is a vast difference between Clinton's emails and Trump's stealing classified documents. Nothing classified was found on the Clinton emails. No records were destroyed. Trump on the other hand is lightyears ahead on classified document theft.
Whatever Trump cries about someone else doing is his admitting he is doing much the thing but a a more significant level. In Trump's warped mind: if Clinton mishandled meaningless emails, then he is allowed to steal classified documents.

Hillary was found to have committed offenses worthy of facing charges yet skated off into the sunset, though you might argue her losing to trump was a bit of hilarious karma. I’ll wait and see what they found and what the charges, or lack thereof, are for trump before I invest any mental energy into the situation.

Trump had 15 boxes of government documents he took home. He wasn't hading them over. He seems to have been going through them to see what they might be worth to someone. Some documents were in Trump's safe and the FBI had to break into because no one would open them.

McCarthy has it right. Merritt Garland will be facing subpoena after subpoena when the Republicans retake the House in 3 months. And he will deserve it for following the Democrat playbook of weaponizing government bureaucracy against their political enemies. I hate Democrats and this witch hunt is going to backfire bigtime. There one set of rules for Democrats in this country, namely, no laws and/or Constitutional limits apply to them. Meanwhile, anyone else is guilty by default, just waiting for the accusation to be leveled at them by the government, one ruling party, controlled media. There is no rule of law anymore in the former republic of the USA, anyone who annoys the Democrats can be arrested, held without charges and trial for years (January 6th "rioters," meanwhile compare to how the Dems stormed the Senate over Kavanaugh appointment, or set DC on fire and attacked the White House in the BLM riots), or be railroaded like Alex Jones (denied jury trial, denied right to present a defense or speak on own behalf, ruled guilty by default of not producing some documents that never existed to be produced, and only then handed over to a jury to decide damages).

Other people review the documents and decide on a page by page basis the level of classification. The reviewers intent was to keep the level of classification as low as possible. That meant editing the document to remove anything that was classified and not necessary for the document to get the point across. Removing a few words can turn a Top Secret document into a limited access document.
