Was watching the 800m from the 1976 Montreal Olympics and the 800 was run in lanes for the first 300m. Maybe they should go back to doing that?

Will any of the American men advance?
Miller in as of now with a q.
Great year from the kid from Texas AM
Koech yet to run.
Brandon running an 810m race while everyone else is running an 800m race.
Won’t make it past semis if he waits too long to kick again

This has been an embarrassment so far. Why is Miller not leading that race out? Come on.
Why do the US 800 runners look completely flat? It's not like they had a long trip or time change. What's going on?
How many small q do they give out?

Nope, Ato says he's out.

?
Brazier and Hoppel are ahead of him. I think Brazier is even still in as of now.
Lol if these heats continue like this Brazier might make it thru
the 800m is wide open and probably one of the weakest events of the meet. Bol and Arop will medal for sure

Men’s 800 across the board internationally is pretty down. I was looking up a bunch of past Worlds and noticed 1:43-low was winning championships back in the 80s. I’m not sure there is anyone in the world running 1:43-low right now. Heck, prime Nick Symmonds would be a heavy favorite for gold right now.
6 small qs
The USA is so horrendously bad in distances further than the 400m for a first world country with a population of 330m. It's kinda embarrassing.
I predict Hoppel advances on appeal
