Linkletter taking the lead at 2k jogging at the front, then getting spit out the back before the hour mark was tough to watch. Poor strategy for a guy trying to sneak into the top 10.
Desisa looks awful trying to follow the lead pack right at the back he's flat footed and has trouble keeping up. Sad for Ethiopia. On the other hand, Kibet, USA, looks light-footed and dynamic. Rupp great too.

Eugene is not Japan. There is no real appreciation of the marathon in the USA on a professional level. People don't understand what it takes to run at 2:04 to 2:10 marathon.
They should have organized a mass race on the course the day before like they did at the US trials
They are alternating 3-minute kms with km in 2:56 or 258. I think once they reach the end of the second 14 km loop it will be fireworks on the last loop.
