As someone who has spent time with Colleen, I can assure you the comments she makes about other people are far worse than anything said about her on LRC

First of all, so what? That doesn’t obligate her to give interviews to outlets she doesn’t want to interact with. Second, there’s a difference between making comments to people you spend time with and publishing criticism on a public forum. We each have a choice to interact with the LRC community. You and I chose yes, she chose no. That’s all that should matter. Finally, a comment like yours (claiming to know her and sharing a negative personal anecdote) would be a great example of why someone might make the decision to stay away.

You’re assuming I think she is obliged to give an interview. I don’t.
I’m saying clearly she reads these boards and doesn’t like the criticism while simultaneously dishing it out on others (she even did it publicly).

So says anonymous source. Why not put your name to it, since you're dropping dimes on her?
Sorry dude, doesn't work like that. You don't get to just anonymously claim to have dirt on someone and then they have to defend themselves. Nobody's running for office. She obviously doesn't want to and doesn't have to interact on here and you're showing us a great example of why.

It would be much more satisfying to let someone perjure themself and lose all credibility. She won’t though because it’s true.

Not sure you know what perjury means. It appears you don’t.

Let's see: the morons of LRC think that the First Amendment applies to a private forum (hint: it doesn't), and the morons of LRC think that private or even public comments if shown to be false would be "perjury" (hint: it wouldn't be). Wow, apparently the racists and misogynists of LRC think that this forum is a governmental and/or judicial entity (hint: it's not). Actually, these kind of BS posts are another example (arguably less egregious but fairly pernicious) of why this place is a cesspool. Blowhard Jos will do nothing to fix it. Joke is on all of us, I guess. In the end, I'll give them clicks but won't give them $$$ despite the fact that I give money to all kinds of running subscriptions. Assuming I'm not the only one, maybe the joke is on them after all.
I was there when Henry Rono set the world record at UW.
It was the last event and the usual crowd were hanging around the water jump to laugh at the athletes who were going to fall into the water. All their frat mates.
After a couple of ordinary laps, suddenly Henry decides to time trial it. Watching the timer on the big board as he ran the last lap was glorious.
I'd bet money you weren't there. If you were there then you misremembered what happened by a lot. Henry went after it from the gun, with almost perfectly even splits the entire way.
1) Please use the "report a post" function for any post you find objectionable. Human moderatore read every post reported.
2) Colleen Quigley was a professional model, she in an influencer as well in addition to being a runner, she is being paid for non-running things. Do I think people are going to discuss non-running things about her yes? That doesn't mean we don't moderate those things but some of it comes with the territory.
People call me a jerk and worse on here. Just sort of comes with the territory.
Please keep reporting stuff. Wish she had talked to Stephanie but not a big deal.
That's kind of victim blaming. An athlete posts on social media - and had the audacity to once be a model - so commenting on her appearance in disparaging terms on a running forum is ok?
You have to see that there is a gendered aspect to posts on here. No male runners get nasty comments about their appearance but pretty much EVERY thread about Colleen Quigley descends into that. Scott Fauble and Cooper Teare post a whole lot on social media but people only ever criticise their running, it's never about how they look.
I'm not saying you did this by design, but LRC is a forum where people can logon and post mean-spirited comments about how female athletes look if they want to. It's going to have consequences and it wouldn't surprise me if you see more female athletes refusing interviews in future
