But Javs weren't the missiles that Putin was complaining about (until he invaded and they were used to oppose him inside the borders of the country he invaded). He was complaining about the Tomahawk platforms based in the NATO countries Poland and Romania.
Let's break this down for you.
Poland - Nato Country - Has missiles Putin don't like
Romania - Nato Country - Has missiles Putin don't like
Ukraine - US backed gov by a coup done by the US gov with hopes Ukraine will be a Nato Country.
US sending billions of dollars to Ukraine to militarize their country.
Putin can't wait till Ukraine joins Nato before attacking. The longer he waits, the harder it will be for him. He doesn't want a Nato backed Ukraine at his border.
Putin keeps telling the US to stop arming Ukraine. The US doesn't listen.
Putin says, alright, that's enough.
Just ask yourself, does Putin invade if the US isn't arming Ukraine with the idea they will join Nato. If you say he would, then whatever.
The Cliff Notes version of your post is "Putin doesn't like his targeted countries to have defensive weapons, so he attacks and proves that they need defensive weapons."
I'm ignoring the Tomahawks in Romania and Poland because Biden said he was willing to negotiate the number and location, and that wasn't enough for him to even continue to negotiate.
Why Russia has this need to have the whole world hate them is a ??? to me. They can shoot bombs but as we have seen they can't fight worth a damn, that army would get their butt kicked trying to take Detroit. They totally suck.
To do the things these thugs have done has shown thw world just how lame and barbaric these people are.
What gets me now is there is noway in hell this army is taking over anyone, they can't fight.
Poland needs to march right in to Ukraine and start joining in the beat down.
What? More than 2/3rds of humanity support Russia: Syria, Yemen, China, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Pakistan, Vietnam, Lebanon, Solomon Islands, India,...
You think all of the citizens being held captive by dictators are supportive of Russia, or is it just their political leaders?
Not quite....here is a better none US version of it.
"Putin or Kennedy doesn't want countries named Ukraine or Cuba to join Nato or Warsaw Pact and be militarized by a group of countries whose sole purpose is to counter mine"
Let's start here.
Nato, when formed after WW2, agreed to not have any members east of Germany? Tell me why that was broken and why you think that is ok or not?
Not all people support anything, but after the Covid lockdowns, one thing I learned, is people don't care about freedom as much as you would want or like to think.
And yes, most people in China and Russia support their leaders. I wouldn't, but I be not them.
According to the Pew Research Center, 85 percent of Chinese people in 2013 were satisfied with their government
March findings by The Levada Center, an independent, nongovernmental Russian polling organization, show that Putin’s approval percentage actually rose from 71% last month to 83%. Approval of the Russian government as a whole increased 15 percentage points from February to March
You could say they are brainwashed or whatever, but I think the same of the blue pilled people here who support the US fighting all over the world while telling Americans there is no money for this or that.

You didn't specifically address that to me or quote my "Cliff Notes" post, but it seems to be in response to my post.
First, I suspect you meant 'non-US version rather than "none US version", but admittedly that is a guess so I can make sense of the statement.
Second, I think Russia sent a lot of arms to Cuba over the years before and after the Missile Crisis, and the US didn't stop them. Cuba even became a transition point for arms and advisors to supply Communist insurgents in Latin and South America. The Missile Crisis was focused on offensive missile systems -- missiles that could hit Chicago and the cities on the US East Coast. These were not missiles that could be used for defense. To be clear, they were nothing like Javs and Stingers, or even Tomahawks.
As for the footprint of NATO, of course it didn't go east of Germany when formed, because east of Germany was the Warsaw Pact group of countries. I don't know the precise justifications for expansion that were articulated, but:
(1) A group that decides to limit its membership can, as a group, decide to change those limits. The footprint of NATO as formed wasn't an international law, it was just an internal agreement.
(2) The fact that former Warsaw Pact nations saw value, and maybe a perceived need, to join western Europe and the US in NATO suggests that they feared Russian aggression and felt that NATO was the best way to protect themselves. Putin seems determined to prove that their assessment is correct.
You need some help if you think “Russian agents” are creeping around the Letsrun comment board.
There have been 2-5 obvious paid Russian trolls on LRC since around the time Russia attacked Ukraine. They are easy to spot at times, with one or more of: sudden appearance at time of invasion, off topic posts with dark admonitions for the West to back off, extolling Russian military capabilities (what a joke that turned out to be), non-native English with strange syntax and grammatical mistakes, awkward attempts at American slang and political memes, repetitive and redundant posts in multiple Russian threads, seldom engaging in actual discussion.
There is quite a bit known and published about Russia's internet trolls, many of whom are employed by St. Petersburg's "Internet Research Agency." They don't just troll large media like Facebook and Twitter, but also relatively obscure message boards like this one. LRC's political threads pop up with some Google searches, which is probably what attracted them.
We should all pitch in to send Jamin back to school to learn Russian, then let him loose on their boards. It would make a Stinger missile look like a slingshot.
Putin wants to rid Ukraine of humans can Russians can copulate with their favorite farm animals without hindrance. Putin if partial to male pigs. When he is going at it in the mud with a big pig, it’s hard to tell the two apart. However, Putin has a tattoo of Trump on his arse, so it’s clear to see he prefers the bottom position when he’s with a male pig.

He's doing the same that Truman, Churchill, De Gaulle, and Stalin did to Palestine after WWII.

Eventually all U.S. citizens who earn more than $50000 per year will believe U.S. military support for Ukraine is a stupid idea. Eventually tax paying U.S. citizens will feel the cost of supporting the clown Zelenskyy. Those of you who don't pay taxes will feel the cost of U.S. support of Ukraine also.

The US/Israel elites are willing to fight Russia in Ukraine down to the last Ukrainian and the last US taxpayer $$
