Using your shameless rounding technique 3 million people died every year from 2010 to 2021.

In no universe have a million people actually died because of COVID. Even if you attribute every single extra death to COVID you don't even reach 500,000.

Masks do not work because no one wears them properly. Triple jabbed blue haired hippies who never leave their homes and wear 9 masks and a face shield to get the mail are still getting COVID.

Do you really think throwing 5 year old's with leukemia out of the hospital because they aren't vaccinated is a good thing?

Makes no sense. So the flu is not transmitted because of masks, but corona is. Reality is testing cant differentiate between the two. Everything is labelled covid

My parents are 92, certainly putting them at high risk despite being relatively healthy for their age. Your statement "If you’re not healthy enough to survive covid at this point, that’s your own fault." sounds like it is blaming the elderly for being old and insults our older population.

They work if you have the right type of mask and they are used properly. Most people have the wrong mask and pretty much no one uses them properly.

It isn't about "blame" it's about common sense. Treating your 92 year old parents and a 5 year old with ZERO risk from COVID the exact same way makes no sense whatsoever. Yet the "experts" continue to claim forcing 5 year olds to wear masks 8 hours a day and get vaccinated is a good idea. The "experts" are some of the dumbest people alive.

Well like I said, I won't claim to know if masks work or not, I just go by what is recommended or required. My workplace requires masks when it contact with others and the assisted living facility where my parent's live requires masks except when it my parent's apartment. Calling doctors and scientists (the experts?) some of the dumbest people you know sounds rather misguided. I think for the most part they are recommending, based on our current understanding, what they think is best.

I get the whole mask/no mask debate. It seems that is open to more debate. But I don't get the anti-vaccine debate as much. Hospitals in my area are at record levels of covid patients, and 85% or so are unvaccinated. I met a Vietnam veteran the other day(he was vaccinated), definitely in the high risk category, and he told me he just had four of his unvaccinated friends die from covid. Also, I know several unvaccinated people, not in the high risk categories, that got covid. While they did not die, one was in the hospital for a while, and a couple of others were pretty ill for a while.

Where do you get your erroneous numbers? No wonder you don't understand this pandemic. Your numbers are all wrong. If I thought deaths in 2020 only rose by 47,00 rather than almost half a million I might think it was all a hoax too.

With 2,000 deaths a day, a million deaths is surely where we will end up unless it stops in the next month. It's possible we end up with 900,000. Excess deaths are already closing in on a million.

It's like ripping off a band aid. Do you want to slowly peel it off and suffer longer or rip it off and suffer less.

Doing nothing would have resulted in more death early on (well maybe less given the blue state tactic of sending all the positive cases to the nearest nursing home) and less death later.

Herd immunity is the goal. The vaccines clearly didn't do anything in that regard as triple jabbed people still get Omicron just like the unwashed unvaxxed subhumans.

Virtue signaling doesn't help anyone and the left and the media do nothing BUT virtue signal on everything...

I don't recall the scientific method being to repeat the same things that didn't work. In fact, I recall a scientist calling that insanity. And rational people would question why people in power want mandates to injecting something into their bodies like say, a jab that doesn't work.

The CDC numbers have not changed wildly. The count for excess deaths in 2020 has not changed dramatically at all. Your sources on the other hand appear to have missed the mark by 90%. Maybe reconsider your sources?

You haven't made a single credible point this entire time that would lead one to think that COVID isn't the leading cause of all these excess deaths.

1: they worked. Delta fell in the vaccinated population.

2: Omicron hit just as the protection from the vaccine was waning. The same way you get a flu shot every year because it wanes and the seasonality of the flu brings it back. Except Omicron brought it back early, and in extremely high numbers.

3: Regardless of the above, the people who are getting sick are the ones who didn't get the jab - they make up 95% of the hospitalization rate. Ergo, the jab works.
