Wow, those are hyperbolic comparisons. Maddux is one of the greatest pitchers ever, and Jones is one of the best defensive centerfielders ever. Ohtani does not compare well to either of them.
Baseball Reference has a great historical comparison tool. Through his age 27 season, Ohtani’s closest historical comparison as a pitcher is Hideo Nomo. As a hitter, he’s been most similar to Cecil Fielder.
Nomo finished his career with 123 wins, 1918 strikeouts, 4.24 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 21.8 pitching WAR.
Fielder finished his career with 319 homers (fun fact: his son Prince hit the exact same amount!), 1008 RBI, .827 OPS, and 20.3 offensive WAR.
