Obama inherited a very bad 2008 economy. In 2010 it looked like he’d be a one term President for sure. But America added jobs every month over his last 2 + years and he was easily re-elected. Then things kept building over his entire second term.
Trump inherited a solid economy. It was further juiced by low interest rates and wasteful tax breaks. Then Covid came in 2020. He handled it well at first. The country unified to stop crowding together to reduce the spread of the virus.
But Trump got impatient. He declared the danger over and wanted everyone back to normal by the end of April. Problem was, Americans were still dying by the thousands. Things could not go back quickly. Supply chains were interrupted. Unemployment soared. He pushed for a vaccine to be released before the election, whether it was tested to be safe or not. The nation was harshly divided and over 80 million Americans rallied to elect Biden.
Biden took over a nation that had its economy turned upside. It took a couple years to steer it back and for supply chains to normalize. That put supply way behind demand which caused high inflation. But that inflation has been brought down significantly the last two years even while new jobs keep getting added and GDP growth has been positive. We walked a tight rope to get here without a recession. But we are trending back, baby!

I don't think I've ever said this before. So we do these rallies. They're massive rallies. Everybody loves, everybody stays till the end.
