What do you mean by "the right policy at the right time?" Many people on this board have convinced themselves that trangenderism is a mental illness (and take it to the extreme that, on the unproven premise that all people with mental health issues are violent and dangerous, they should forfeit their Constitututional rights). That's a very hot topic right now, and I very strongly disagree with both prongs of that argument. Do they need to wait until their views accord with mine to express their opinions? I'm sure that wasn't what you meant, but what you wrote sounds like moderation on hotly contested topics is the only way forward. Why can't we disagree and even be wrong?
