This frees the target audience from having to deal with the complexity and nuanced nature of virtually all real world issues.

The reality is that Fauci was the face of a broad consensus public health establishment trying to act on the best available information at various points in the pandemic. Neither Fauci or consensus science is beyond criticism, of course, but genuine expertise is almost always the most reliable source of information in complex decision making. It is easy to find fault with anyone or any organization, but one must be on guard against how a particular narrative amplifies parts of the story versus the full picture.

Finally, "dumb people" is probably inaccurate in that very smart people are certainly susceptible to manipulation and arguably more so.

So, by definition, you’re in the empirical and non-propaganda camp, right? You have stats backing you up.

I’m sorry, but the former head of the NIAID and face of Covid forcefully claimed that the lab leak theory was not correct. A lab that NIAID money certainly made its way too, whether or not it was actually tied to GOF. Now he’s saying he always thought the lab leak theory was not only plausible but credible. After a lot of dissenting opinions were “strongly” suppressed. Was that not propaganda?

Masks don’t work, then masks do work, then masks don’t work again. Not propaganda?

The six foot distancing rule that “seemingly came out of nowhere” and was arbitrary as it was capricious, was not propaganda. I mean, Fauci literally just said “we made it up.”

The CDC was not immediately forthcoming when they found out that the vaccines actually don’t stop transmission. Perhaps lessen it (still ideological) but don’t stop it. Which created a lot of cocksure recipients who likely did far more damage spreading this disease and pandemic than an unvaccinated, infected person who actually stayed home and abided by the quarantine, like myself. Was that not propaganda on the part of the CDC?

All the mental health issues that have been exacerbated, the learning loss, and the vaccine injuries and death. Basically glossed over under the auspices of “we never forced you to do it,” “it wasn’t a mandate,” local school districts needed to do more but it wasn’t a Fed issue?” That’s not propaganda?

Really. Because my employer enforced the masking, distancing, and vax passport rules. I voiced my dissenting opinion, along with several other parents to the school district, even offered money to improve ventilation, and we were roundly and swiftly shut down. But, somehow, that’s on us, as parents, to figure out. It wasn’t a top down mandate from the Feds, had nothing to do with our liberal, very lousy education department and the teachers’ unions, which are the biggest activists of all and do NOT care about education or kids. Heck, my child, who is a classic Covid casualty and never recovered was expelled for a day for going to an anti-mask rally some 20 months in. Really? Because she couldn’t breathe, couldn’t learn, and everyone already had immunity, vaccinated or otherwise?

And, finally, even the CDC had to finally cop to what the best most genuine doctors and scientists already knew, that natural immunity was just as good as vaccination, probably better. If a low risk person fought off two strains of Covid, they were good. Better even. But our health “authorities” never really could bring themselves to admit this. A bivalent vaccine tested only in a handful of mice, but that’s good enough for our children based on extrapolation. That’s not propaganda?

The debate isn’t whether hundreds of thousands of patients could’ve been saved with vaccination. That’s correct. If they were old, sickly, in a high risk demographic, they were foolish not to get vaccinated. That’s not the debate.

But for you to come on here and say you have the high ground when you’ve wrought so much destruction with the pandemic is rich. Yet, we are the propagandists and Demagogues. F*ck off. Sincerely, f*ck off. You’ve injured my children, my friends, my family, and you’ve done incalculable damage to society and public health. Denial

Denial is the stage that can initially help you survive the loss. You might think life makes no sense, has no meaning, and is too overwhelming. You start to deny the news and, in effect, go numb.

It's common in this stage to wonder how life will go on in this different state—you are in a state of shock because life as you once knew it has changed in an instant. Instead of becoming completely overwhelmed with grief, we deny it, do not accept it, and stagger its full impact on us. Think of it as your body's natural defense mechanism, saying "Hey, there's only so much I can handle at once."

Once the denial and shock start to fade, the healing process begins. At this point, those feelings that you were once suppressing are coming to the surface.
