Arroyo runner: Well, I don't know how generous I am, but I'm a big fan of Henry's (as much NOW as when he was the fastest distance guy on the planet!) I have been drawn to his story, and whether he runs a 15:00 or 19:30 5k, he has shown us alot of courage in his attempt to reclaim the beauty of running. I think that any of us who ran well when we were younger, and struggle now, can especially identify with Henry. I got into the running business with alot less talent than H.R.; the least I can do is get him some running shoes and follow his saga. Because I likewise put on a few pounds after competitive running, I can identify with him and offer some advice on diet, etc. Give Henry advice on running? No way; it would be like someone telling Rembrandt how to paint! Henry's an artist, he knows what to do. If you want to help out with running shoes, or other gear, e-mail me, or contact Henry. I have found Mr. Rono to be a very warm, genuine human being.
