It's like Illinois is the training ground to get to Texas, First TBB and her sprint stars , now Haveman and her distance star
Lol you comparing Tonja to haveman? Tonja is a world class coach and the other one not so much…floral just wants Olivia that’s it. Haveman used that to her advantage
Any-word on Georgia hiring a new distance coach?

Both have a National Champion at timing of switching universities
Difference is haveman appears that she was not being retained…
Kelsey Quinn is the On assistant coach, officially
Petros probably had to keep Haveman for a year or did not feel like he had time to hire a new XC Coach.
But what more could Haveman have done? Petros is letting 1/3 of the Conference points scored and a National Champ walk out the door.
Who does he go get? Cuniff; who knows how to operate as a distance coach in a Petros program? I feel like he may be settled in Athens.
Is Tulsa getting a new coach? A bunch of their athletes hit the portal in the last week or so.
Haveman signed 0 elite distance/XC kids...other than Olivia she has nothing to show. I am not sure if Petros really fired her or her realizing she had to use Howell to get a job before she is exposed. Petros will hire a good coach, so good for Illinois and good for Haveman to go to Texas. Unsure how ethical was using Howell but I guess that is business

All of you acting like Petros cares about distance or will even still be there by this time next year when SEC money comes calling again lol. How many elite distance prospects did his long time distance coach at UGA ever sign?
Sprint coach is gone. Doesn't look like there is a public posting for a replacement yet.
Hasn't Gulley been there for ages?

This would be really surprising. Gulley has been there for ages
doing a quick google search appears that his distance coach was a part of his women's NCAA title team in 2018 indoors (Jessica Drop scoring in the 5k). Clearly a good team player and a good distance coach that got the job done with probably not much $. I know Illinois has had a very big scholarship investment in XC, to my surprise, they were 9th team finish at conference...whether he cares about distance or not, once thing is for sure, he wants to win.
