The U.S. has plenty of cheats too (Rossi, cough cough) but I think Americans are more skeptical in general. Plenty of Americans thought the biggest baddest cheat of all time (Lance) was guilty but it took a long time for justice to be served. In a way it never was.

I don't have any inside information with regards to Guinness but I think I could try reaching out to them to get a copy of the rules, which should be made public. Don't hold your breathe though, they never got back to me about Amy Hughes.
