Whats the response to a (repeated) letter from the Harris camp saying "This is the 7th time weve contacted you for your support! But you havent responded!..." etc. I sent the Biden campaign $100. On 2 occasions but they never acknowledged it. I know it's rules of the game, but I can ill afford to send more. What happens to the donations to the Biden campaign? Yelling at me is a sure way to cut off communications.

If you're unaware of the degree to which immigrants (particularly from Latin America) have supplanted native-born Americans in low-wage jobs in agriculture, construction, and many other fields, you're just clueless, dude.
My job requires me to be on construction sites on a regular basis. I live in Indiana. In the last 20 years, there's been a massive shift here away from blue-collar white workers to Latin American immigrants. This has occurred nationwide, not just in Indiana. It's absolutely true that these are jobs no American wants anymore. This is hard, physical work that breaks a person down.
Many of the "illegals" that Trump refers to are not in fact illegal. They have arrived at a border crossing and applied for asylum. The massive backlog in these applications mean that they are legally released into our country and asked to return for their hearing. I'm sure some do and some don't. The process is completely broken, and people are taking advantage of it. One would hope that appropriate legislation to fix this would come around again after the election, and be taken seriously.

What do you believe happened to blue-collar whites that would bring on such an enormous cultural and psychological change in white American's attitudes toward work? Here in California, immigrants do essentially 100% of the jobs in the fields taking care of the crops that feed the nation. I don't know what percentage are illegal immigrants vs legal but I would suspect that a very large percentage are of the illegal variety.
I know what you merely suspect is wrong. It is illegal and therefore difficult and economically dangerous to hire illegal immigrants to do work in the US. Go ahead and try it at your California place of business, if you don't believe that. Try hiring even one, and then report back how that initiative goes for you.
