What a crock. They are using ancient trackers that only work on 2G/3G? They are trying to set a world record and have lavishly spent money on this adventure and they are using out-of-date trackers.

This "record" attempt is now a total farce. Wrap the props up and try again another year.

What is truly amazing is that the far less funded runner, Sandy, is having no similar equipment and drama issues as team Mimi. Pete K also had no equipment and drama issues.

It's not a 2G/3G/4G issue. There is much more 3G coverage in the US than 4G, just take a look at the AT&T maps. 2G/3G is practically everywhere you go whereas 4G is more confined to very high population areas like cities. What Mimi and her team is saying about their cell signals is a complete lie and is nothing to do with the Race Drone tracker. They intentionally turned their GPS trackers off multiple times or let their batteries die.

He likely never tested his product in uncivilized territories. It may work well in city environments. But in the country-side, use something else. For most people his product is likely fine.

Never existed like the TOUGH AS NAILS AWARD 2015? I suppose it's possible. Mimi's team seems to enjoy drama. It makes sense that would lead to more book sales and higher speaking fees.
