If someone is allegedly lying and using disparaging terms aimed at other posters, why do you believe that the best course of action is to lower yourself down to the same level and return the favor? Do you really think that is providing your target audience with an effective counterpoint?

In contrast, several weeks ago Right Results blatantly lied and called me names, despite the fact that I have been nothing but civil to everyone else I have encountered (including them). From my perspective, that says a lot more about them than it does about me. The reality of the matter is that this is still the LRC message boards, so you will inevitably encounter "keyboard warriors" and trolls who post their unhinged rants, simply because they can get away without any repercussions.

As I have said before, it really is a shame because there are some level-headed, knowledgeable people from both sides of the fence who could facilitate some great debates, but they get drowned out by the trolls and sanctimonious zealots.
