Can someone keep an eye on this guy (run across America)

I truly hope someone will be able to ride their bike with Darren and crew in order to show that they are really capable of averaging 14.46 mph for 70 miles. However, I have my doubts.

I considered NOT posting the following information because now they'll definitely know they're being watched like a hawk, and from now on will be extremely careful.

Here are three businesses that you can find along their route today, Wed 6/21

Eagle Food Mart, 290 US Hwy 70, Crossville TN

Crab Orchard Citco, 10016 US Hwy 70, Crab Orchard TN

Jerry's Bait Shop, 815 S. Gateway Ave, Rockwood TN

This occurred a little before and after noon central time, and was during the tail end of a 10 mile stretch where they averaged 16.55 mph. I called both the Eagle Food Mart and the Crab Orchard Citco as the GPS tracker was approaching and had them on the phone AS THE GPS TRACKER PASSED BY the store. Both clerks saw the painted up RV pass by but saw no bicycles or runners.

Soon after that, as they were approaching Rockwood TN, the GPS tracking said "standing still" for 1 min 10 seconds. I then called Jerry's Bait Shop and also had them on the phone as the GPS tracker passed by. Yes, they did in fact see two men on bicycles pass by. Could it be that during the 1 min 10 second pause just outside of Rockwood that they got back on their bikes????

Again, I was hesitant to post this and make them aware of the scrutiny that they are under, but c'mon dudes, something isn't right here. That's why I'm hoping that there will be "wheels on the ground" to prove one way or another if they are really doing what they claim.

I am retired. I run a little, eat, take naps and look at letsrun. Being I am several states north of Darren's route, so it is not practical for me to personally check them out. Also, at my age I would have a rough time riding a bike 70 miles at 14+ mph. I could easily ride in the RV, though I'm not sure that is the group I'd want to spend the day.

Haha ... good work. 16.55 mph on mountain bikes is a decent training run pace ... no way these guys are doing that.

You must be Asher Delmott's grandpa! We just need another dude like that TN dude to check them out and bring a bike along this time.

I wonder if those stores have security cameras pointed at the roads?

That's the thing on Letsrun, you better review your post before you accidentally post "our team", because you can't go back and edit it. Just ask the "ahole elites" guy. But that guy used his real name at one point and you didn't, so we don't actually know who you are and you can always say it was someone else. Like the "impersonating my name" thing. That was a good move.

You can call up a Brojo and beg them to take it down. That worked for Alex Viada and Brian Lawlor and a few others.

But we'll always know that someone on Darren's team was on letsrun engaging with the losers in mom's basement so the old "we never heard of letsrun and just ignore the trolls" thing won't fly.
