I thought forsure they could make it because they returnered good track times. But that doesn't always translate well to xc.
Now that Ventura girls has lost one of their strongest runners, what are the odds that the 2nd fastest Div 2 team, St. Francis (Mountain View) could beat Ventura? I think there is a chance they can win, especially given the fact that another Ventura runner, Tiffany Sax, has only raced twice this season and not once since Clovis.

Since Ventura is obviously not going to qualify for NXN, do you think Sadie will do NXN by herself? Or will she do what she did her freshman and sophomore years and do Foot Locker instead?
D2 boys will probably be the fastest non nphs race in california history. Or at least the most sub 15s at Woodward. D2 will go crazy. In D1, for the first time ever, im kinda hyped to see what gohs can do against beckman next week haha westin is back. Even if he runs like 15:30 at Woodward that'll be good.
As far as I can tell, 4:12 miler Callum McBride of Albany did not run NCS, and therefore is unable to race states now. Unfortunate, because I was hoping to see how he would perform at Woodward Park compared to the previous fast Albany individuals, Sean Morello and Lucas Cohen.

they had two transfers - 5 guys under 4:24 in the 1600. crazy that they didn't make it
At the beginning of the season and before, there was a lot of talk that MLK would be #1 in the state, but things happen. this section finals was stacked like crazy.
San Clemente did a great job reloading after losing just about everyone from varsity, which made it even harder for many other teams to make it out of this section
