"Oh these are good but not a patch on the Superblast or Megablast" - We dont have £200 to spend on a daily shoe, mate.
Its such a stupid opinion and just confirms after watching one of their crap reviews a few months ago that there's no point going back.
I've now had 5 pairs of Qiaodan Leili 1.0 (based off of watching and messaging Jog On Crago - actually the best shoe YouTuber out there by a country mile). Great durability, and felt heaps better than the Superblasts that I paid 3x as much for!
I bought another pair a few weeks ago as we go into winter and shoes get killed by the weather, at around $100AUD, Superblast 3s are currently $340AUD.
Whilst I completely agree with the points Moose has raised on IRP about many people needing the help of a quality shoe store to guide their purchase - if you don't and are willing to take a small risk on the sizing being wonky (plenty of data online to correlate to), then you're getting a great shoe for 1/3 the price.
Fundamentally - as I'm sure they'll be reading this - when they actually do go for a run the Run Testers can try remove some bias and ask themselves if the Superblast is really 3x the shoe? Anyone with half a brain can tell you it's not, and no shoe can realistically get close for the price.
Meh ... I'm tired of all the mentioning of price in discussions of running shoes
All it takes is a bit of patience and your Superblast won't be $200 ..There will always be sales
And if you break the price up in $ pr. mile, it's not that much
I envy people with feet that might run in any shoe, but I just can't .. and I'm not taking a gamble on a Chinese shoe even if it is one third of the price .. Wait time is forever before you and you don't need a lot of misses before it's no longer a good deal.
I've read too many a review praising a shoe only to find either it wasn't a good fit for me or worse yet, that the reviews where wildly off.
Superblasts may be expensive but V1 and V2 last forever and can do pritty much everything up just before lt2.
I think ive had 2 pairs of V1 and 2 pairs of V2, both lasting 1500k+ easy. The only one downside (which is probably why they also last so long) is they are a little bit first for the first 30k.
if i look around my room now i can see 5 or so pair costing ~£100-150 that ive never got to 100k.

People can do whatever they want ...
But if money is truly a problem then buying last years model on a deep sale is probably a much better bet than gambling on Chinese shoes and their fit
