The voice of 'Ghost of Igloi' speaks: I would argue cash and CDs are one of the best asset classes in the current environment. In a Bear Market all stocks and low quality bonds move in the same direction, down.

[Curtain rises to a scene of two men sitting at a table facing each other.]

Potential client: Where would you suggest I invest my money?

Ghost of Ig|oi: Well the stock market is going to crash - I can't tell you exactly when, but it WILL crash - so I recommend you have the bulk of your money in cash and CDs.

Potential client: But my money won't grow enough to even keep up with inflation.

Ghost of Igloi: Yes, but you won't lose a lot of your money in the inevitable stock market crash. You'll lose a little buying power, but so what.

Potential client: But the stock market always recovers from crashes and goes up over 70% of the time. How am I going to be able to retire if my money isn't growing in the stock market?

Ghost of Igloi: Ah ya, awesome...like ya....totally......

Potential client: What?

Ghost of Igloi: They're coming to take me away, ha ha, he he, hoo hoo...

Potential client: I'm outta here.

Ghost of Igloi: ...To the funny farm where life is beautiful...

I agree with him that mas' DB alert was pretty much the only thing of substance to have ever been posted in this thread before it actually happened. All the rest seems like hot air and monday-morning-quarterbacking. Now DB is fvcked, and the disease is spreading hard and fast. He was really onto something, I wonder what he shorted.

Well this coward did not mind using my actual first name. I have nothing to hide, but like most here prefer to use my handle in discussions.

The point was many here use multiple names. I am assuming that is the case with this poster. It would be nice to know who one is talking to.

Lemons,When someone steals your handle and then posts to create an impression. Then calls you out a racist, anti-Palestinian and a host of other crazy things. That is really low class. The best way to counter that is to have no fear of the truth. Since you know my name Google it. I am proud of everything you will find.The moderators have even emailed me personally and referred to this person/persons as a "stalker." The moderators have done a good job of policing what must be a difficult job.I did learn that there are laws on the books in most states concerning "cyber stalking." It appears some of the more egregious acts meet the standard. I haven't yet asked my litigator daughter if there are Federal statutes. She is busy with a big case this week.Igy
