As one would expect. Lancaster is part of that Central OH bastion of high quality teams who battle each other weekly. Stepping outside of Columbus and having a lot of success isn't surprising to me. That's a helluva team - currently #8.
Problem is, they'll have to beat one of the following teams to make it to Obetz - Westerville North (#2), Coffman (#4), Kilbourne (#6), Orange (#7), and Jerome (#10).

Agree. Scioto can certainly be right in the mix, particularly if the above teams are off - esp their #3-5 guys, who lose tons of points in a close race if off only 10-15 seconds. Olentangy Liberty and Davidson could surprise too. Currently #18, #15, and #22 respectively.

Based on last weekend, Hil. Davidson will most likely not qualify for state, but based on how much their junior class has improved, they will make the region race even more interesting

Is it possible that WN is not sliding but Coffman really is just becoming the best of the bunch? I still can’t get over how they beat a stacked field.

Mapleton was hosting their 13 team cross country invitational the following morning.
It was understandably cancelled.

4 guys ahead of both Kilbourne's and Westerville North's 3rd.
6 guys ahead of Orange's #4, and 7 ahead of their #5.
5 guys ahead of TSF's and Perrysburg's 3rd.
4 guys ahead of Olentangy Liberty's #1 (!!) - Liberty is ranked #15

Also 5 guys ahead of Rizek from DeSales, a fairly consistent low 16s guy - 16:05 at Watkins (2nd), and 16:00 at Groveport (7th), and 16:06 at Cedarville (3rd).

Did their junior class really improve that much though? Their 2 has obviously improved a lot but their 3 and 4 haven’t improved a ton and their 5 has disappeared

Yes, the strength of their top 4 was impressive. WN 3 to 5 were spread out 16:23 to 16:33 for places 29 to 39. That pack needed to be in the 16:15 to 16:20 range for WN to win. Coffman and WN race again this weekend at Thomas Worthington. This should be great, really exciting competition this year!

Their 3 went from high 17s last year to mid 16s and their 4 went from mid 18s to sub 17. And I doubt last week was their peak

Should Mas. Jackson really be ranked second? They haven’t raced many top teams except for Coffman, and Jackson lost to them.
