In hindsight, you can't overstate how brilliant that was. A stroke of genius. This is the very moment that the Harris campaign thought they might test the waters and see if Trump could control his impulses. To see how deep Trump's mental illness is. To see if Trump could stay on message. To see if Trump could avoid swinging feces on the debate stage. This line came very quickly in the debate. It came during the discussion of immigration. Immigration was Trump's top issue. Immigration is the topic that Trump could have done some damage to Harris with the "border czar" stuff. Trump could have set the stage to possibly dominate the night at that moment. That little 30 second deviation by Harris about how Trump's rallies are pathetic and people leave early was all it took to push Trump off message and cause him to harm himself and turn into the crazy, angry deranged, guy at the end of the bar. So Trump wasted his 2 minute opportunity to nail Harris on the border czar stuff and instead talked about "Eating dogs". Making people laugh at him across the country. It took 30 seconds for Harris to cause Trump to humiliate himself and his campaign. And his supporters.

Following the debate, it's quite refreshing to see the public not fall for the media's propaganda and call out the bias. That's only going to make people vote for Trump. Their plan backfired, it didn't help that Kamala just avoided any responsibility for record like Democrats usually do.
Here is the thing. All Trump had to do is ignore Harris 30 second deviation about his rallies and stick to the topic of immigration. If he did that, he would have appeared more Presidential and Harris would have appeared less so. He would have appeared to be the bigger person by not dignifying it.
