John McDonnell is a legend. He had great distance runners that scored, but I remember seeing a heck of lot of sprinters and jumpers scoring at the NCAA’s.
In that list, only Braman (2008) has won an Indoor or Outdoor NCAA Title (1) in the last decade. It also seems they have won very little Cross Country NCAA titles as well.
Next time put Lance Harter (2) or Stanley Redwine and not your buddies you suck up too at meets.

It clearly says the list includes head coach openings as well People always nitpick when they are to lazy to compile a list for themselves If the list doesn't suit your needs then Google it for yourself.

It's been Coach Milton Mallard this whole outdoor season with the aggies.
Personally, no freaking way should any of the names mentioned in previous posts/replies (D. Smith, Ihmels, Franklin, Fox) be considered unless they can demonstrate that they're willing to improve the other areas of the track and field team at the University of Washington.
Can anyone name the NCAA All-Americans that they've produced since they've been head coaches at their schools that were NOT middle distance/distance runners (I believe Smith had a hammer thrower)?
I'd like to see Washington try and pry Connie Price-Smith away from Ole Miss, and take Ryan Vanhoy with her to Seattle, and keep Pat Licari.
That would be the best move for UW. Connie Price-Smith with Vanhoy and Licari would be the best move for distance and the entire program.
Fox has won an conference title in track (2016 Indoor ACC’s), was 2nd this year Outdoors at ACC’s (scoring 108 points) has been Top 10 in Indoor Track and Field at the NCAA level. He would be a great fit. Good try.
