I agree, they didn't get their way. What they wanted was a good experience at a great school with coaches who believed in them and instead they got something else. Unfortunate. When you come in as a new head coach you KNOW they do evaluations every single season and if you aren't being careful you're going to get wrecked on them. If you shift the focus of the program, you do it a much smarter way than Dartmouth did.

I have zero ties to the Dartmouth program, but you’re on here defending the fired coach by blaming the student athletes for this? Interesting.

They were also terrible at the sprints. Even if they didn't complain, being focused on the sprints while having such a bad team in that event area probably shows you're not qualified.

You can't claim to be sprints and jumps focused and score 25 total points in those disciplines while not even running a men's 4x1 and coming last in the womens 4x4.

They scored 2 individual men's sprints and jumps points. If you're going to focus on it, do it well.

Well if her husband lands a big gig, she will land on her feet with him and get chance to grow and learn.

So what Head/Asst coaching changes will be made after the NCAA meet. Most AD's/Head Coaches will wait until after the season to make some changes.

It is listed as PART TIME..... Any program that advertises as a part time coach needed, does not have a high desire for them to be good. It is a shame, because they were solid not too long ago.

No, just scholarships. Marquette is at the minimum total sports for Title 9 (14), if they cut both XC/Track programs they would have to add 4 new sports

This position is sprints, jumps, hurdles, relays. So, you get to coach nearly 50% of the events with no assistants to help. I suppose if your goal is to eventually become a Multis coach, then this would be a good internship.

Rumors are Florida state is looking at Jenkins but I believe they wouldn’t go wrong with promoting Kane, he’s paid his dues.

Don’t they already have someone at this position? I believe the positions sole responsibility is to oversee all aspects of the drake relays. It’s one of the biggest meets in the US.

I would stay away from that program if you can

0 facilities for track and a coach leaving in scandal = no go. Buy hey, they have a great baseball team!
