Which means that we do not have complete data on total infections yet to determine a death rate, we only have a running total so far that is limited by time, testing and access. YOu have no idea what the total will be and no way of predicting it based on current data.

Again you are proving my point, the calculated flu death rate includes both actual infections and estimated infections based on years of data. The coronavirus reported death rate is someone simply taking the known infections and dividing it by the known deaths. There are many more infections in the nooks and crannys as you say that are not being factored into that death rate.

This is the main problem with 1 dimensional thinkers. You contradict yourself in your own analysis and you don't even realize it. You state that the fatality rate is already higher than the flu and then say that it isn't everywhere yet. You already know that there are more infections out there right now, yet the deaths are not adding up. How can you calculate a death rate when you have no idea how many are infected? What proof is there that the death rate is 20X? That's just made up nonsense. People don't just suddenly start dying once they are tested and found to be positive. It's been long enough that if it was that fatal, people would be dying that have not been tested and found to be positive after death. What you are claiming is not only stupid and irrational, its' impossible. The fact that you cannot see the flaws in your own argument is indicative of someone who regurgitates information rather than compiling it.

South Korea serves as a good case study - testing 10,000+ people daily since the outbreak there (nearly 250,000 tests at the time of this post) with approx 8000 cases and 70 deaths. Mortality from this population (which is arguably healthier than the US population, comes down to cigarettes and air pollution vs morbid obesity) is approx 0.9 percent. This is still 9x the common flu, and with your guess of millions (not so fact based, eh?) currently infected in the US, the deaths from COVID19 will be at least 9000 (based on 1M) within a week or so.

Check the latest news reports where they're quickly revising the stories.

As many of us have been saying all along, it turns out that most of the deaths have been misdiagnosis from other causes.

Getting closer, but still not apples to apples, the flu death rate includes estimates of additional infections, not just the actual numbers counted and it's for an entire year. Also, you cannot possibly believe that they are getting to everyone that is infected in South Korea. They are not testing children, who if all the "experts" that everyone seems to believe are correct, many would likely test positive and be infectious even while being asymptomatic. You don't know and I don't know how many are infected in South Korea and neither of our guesses means squat. Nice attempt, but you still are not comparing the same numbers and you still miss the point. Only 43 people have died from coronavirus and at minimum 20,000 from the flu and people are hoarding toilet paper and it's not because of the flu. The post says calm the F**K down, not Feel free to lick your neighbors @sshole because there is no risk. I don't know why this concept is so hard for people.

Oh, and as to my guess of millions infected in the US, that's just it... a guess. I am not stupid enough to factor that into my numbers. The numbers I give are FACTS. Remember those?

Lol, it’s amazing how people can be so confident. I will say, I think the death rates are likely lower than initially reported because we don’t know how many actual cases there are. So that argument seems logical. But it’s not a fact. We’re admitting we DONT KNOW how many actually cases there are- so yes, you can say you Can’t definitively prove death rates are higher than the flu... but you also can’t say that death rates are equal or lower to the flu. We don’t know how much it’s spread or how much it could spread. That’s the whole point-we don’t know so are taking precautions. Literally every major country in the world is taking precautions-some pretty extreme. Many posters seem to think the entire world is just a bunch of idiots. Literally, the entire world has health officials that are completely incompetent? That’s what you really think? That China, Italy. All of Europe, The Middle East, and the US is full of complete dummies. I’m communicating this through a phone using the Internet. You know why? So you think that people waiting in line at Costco, for 2 hours, fighting for toilet paper, stockpiling, paper towels and hand sanitizer when soap and water will do, and all the other crazy sh!t people are doing, is rationale? Do you think this behavior makes sense when there are only 43 deaths from the coronavirus in the USA and there are have been over 20,000 deaths from the flu? Does that make any sense to you? The panic has real life consequences. This has nothing to do with experts or what those experts say, it has to do with reality and facts.The fact is that we are in the 4th month of this outbreak. We are in the 5th month of the flu season. 43 deaths versus 20,000. You can scream from the mountain tops that the coronavirus death rate is 3, 10, or 20 times that of the flu, but the facts as they stand don't support that. They may at some point, but that's irrelevant to the point of this thread, they do not support it now. Therefore, there is no need for panic and people need to CALM THE F**K DOWN.
