Your reading comprehension is terrible. Slower than former D3 runners is much different than not making a D3 team. And she lost by more to an NC State runner at Usatf XC than what her teammates lost by at Ncaa XC.

Nico Young laid an egg at USATF XC so results from that meet are often meaningless.
You are grasping. Hedengren ran faster in HS than Tuohy's lifetime PR in the 5000. Nico is an Olympian and American record holder.

and you must be very slow. The USatf XC was 10k vs Ncaa XC was 6k so comparing relative times from those races is pretty meaningless.

I’m grasping? All I said is that that USATF results are necessarily meaningful. Yes, Hedengren has already surpassed Tuohy’s career PRs but that doesn’t mean Tuohy can’t have a significant comeback. I doubt if any American woman will ever approach Young’s level.
Tuohy is cooked. Stick a fork in her. Hedengren will surpass Nico.
Good point. Maybe she could be 4th runner on NC State.
She alludes to some sort of health issue(s) which do not seem to be running related injuries. In a "better place"? I opined a while ago whether it might be more a mental issue.
Just another phenom who flamed out. Wr told you that she was good enough to make it as a pro. Lifetime PRs put her way down all ti e lists.
