British gold medalist & ‘sports icon’ implicated in blood doping

I have only one tripping their ABP before London; Kirdyapkin, but as you mentioned there was a delay in enforcement. Savinova's Daegu (gold), London (gold) & Moscow (silver) #'s didn't trip her ABP, and both the hematological data from Daegu & London were above the normality threshold at a specificity of 99%. (CAS 2016/0/4461).

Zaripova did trip her ABP from an IC sample at London (not before) which was reviewed by IAAF anti-doping experts in Oct/Nov 2012, and was provisionally suspended in July 2013 and consequently given a 2 1/2 year ban for hematological anomalies in Jan 2015 (CAS 2015/A/4006).

That link wasn't entirely accurate. Again, this would be Zaripova. She was provisionally suspended for hematological anomalies in July 2013 and given a 2 1/2 year ban in 2015. Her London sample was retested in late 2016 which turned up the positive for Turinabol. So, she was initially sanctioned for the ABP violation well before the retest results in Nov 2016.

So...you're saying Paula and Coe are phonies? I can see suspicion surrounding Paula's WR time...but Lord Coe?

It can't be Mo. Can you imagine how catastrophic that would be for the sport? It would destroy UK athletics like never seen before. So many youngsters idolize Mo and he's a virtual rock star in the UK. You see so many people these days doing the "Mobot." He's an international superstar that resonates with the young & old.
