In the world of athletics there is only one way coaches consistently produce medals....................drugs.

You are acting like the case against all three of those runners is the same - it is not.

Meb set his marathon PR in Boston just before he turned 40. 2:08:37.

His times before that - all generally in the 2:09s. (NY in 2009 was a 2:09:15).

Meb wasn't a doper - he was just very consistent and an EXCELLENT tactical racer. But he usually shined when he had been written off.

In 2009 he was added to the NY field just weeks prior because Paul Tergat dropped out with injury. No one expected him to run even close to as well as he did.

In 2014 he came into Boston after a 2:20 something?? in NY. Maybe even 2:30. He went out with the leaders and was (for him) jogging it into the finish. When Meb broke off from the main pack with Josphat Boit - the leaders were more concerned about the Ethiopian contingent and didn't think Meb had a prayer. It wasn't until after heartbreak that they realized the Ethiopians were in trouble and Meb wasn't slowing down. And they ran out of race to catch him - although they gave it one heck of a try.

No chance that Meb cheated. The times would have been a lot faster, or you'd have seen a more significant improvement.

I agree with coach b - I don't care about who wins boston if it's a NOP person. The idea that even American distance running is operating on the edge or over it...has made me walk away from following the sport.

Rupp, Hasay and all of the NOP people are tainted for life.

2) Paula - off-scores that clearly indicate cheating

The whole pice was meant to skew negativity towards NOP vs having real world class coaches with expert opinions to make real observations.

He did fail a test and had the B sample thrown out do to a technicality. Also, do you think that was the only time he tested positive? It wasn't according to many (2008 before the OT's). If you think the USATF is innocent you're crazy. There is a lot more evidence against Paula and Lagat then the ODP. You watch some BBC video and listen to a bitter women who used to run for ODP (who never came forward with the smoking gun she said she had over and over again) and thats all the evidence you need?

You can say ODP is dirty thats fine, but if this is true, Kara was doing everything they were doing, so was Ritz and every other athlete you're a fan boy about.

It's a complete double standard and it's funny to watch people pick and choose their little heroes.

He did not fail a test, and you are showing your ignorance. The B sample was not "a technicality". Seriously, research it because you are embarrassing yourself. It's hard to take anything you say serious if you don't understand this very basic concept.

Please provide support for anything about him failing a test in 2008 before the OTs.

There are a lot more allegations directed at NOP than the ones you so crudely characterized. The cases against the two are drastically different, so it is logically fallacious to say that you can't blast one and support the other (which is why it seems you feel that you can support Rupp and not Lagat).

Rupp is the best long distance American runner in the last 10 years WADA dug up nothing on him and coach B is a sore loser.

I can tell you a very close source to David Torrence knew first hand knowledge about Lagat and what happened in 2008 and other important info. No big secret here, it's a part of Track & Field . You have to say is "There are a lot more allegations directed at NOP". What is that, please enlighten me on your allegations that make you so sure ODP is cheating.

I love your passion, but it's pointed in the wrong direction. I have and will always be for CLEAN SPORT. What else can I say, but you're just picking sides with no real purpose. Go ahead and call ODP cheats, but you need to call Kara and Ritz a cheat also. You know they did everything Rupp or the others did. So are they cheats or are you just obsessed with hating Rupp and Al?

Lagat just did what all the other medalist did in the late 90's and early 2000's. However, B Lagat's greatest accomplishment was getting the B sample thrown out.

Come on people, it's not that hard. Let's start by saying I haven't said Rupp is on drugs I just think people who get mad when we say he might be on them are crazy.

Yes, Weldon improved more than Rupp. Question him if you want. That's what I do. Was Paula clean, Lagat, hell even Hale? don't know. I question basically everything in all sports. What I've learned over the last 25 years is if something seems to good to be true, guess what it normally is.

But the biggest difference between Rupp and all of these other people is simple. There aren't ex-team members or coaches saying they have doubts about whether they were clean. There isn't a document saying they were on a testosterone supplement in high school. Their coach wasn't found with testosterone medication.

I dind't create this - someone at the Nike lab did.

I never said Rupp was an average talent. I never said his improvement was what makes me suspicious. What should make everyone suspicious is the following.
