why don't you use the term 'mansplainin' one more time, someone might eventually bite.
but then again, i don't know your goals.

your goal is to look like you don't know what you're doing at the gym?
you clearly are the smartest and nicest person in the world, anyone who questions you can't be right
Actually dont give a crap what i “look like” at the gym; my workout is my workout and i’m not there to impress anyone. also, why would you question my workout to begin with? it’s not the point of this discussion and none of your business. even if it is the dumbest routine in the world, not your business. guarantee i am faster and fitter than 90% of guys commenting on this thread so really not trying to take workout advice from a bunch of skinnyfat hobby joggers. i’m probably the only woman most of you interacted with all weekend.
you sure sound like you care what we think
and to state things more plainly
if you are doing dips in between your bench press sets, you are not trying to get stronger
if that's the case, then there's no reason for you to be doing bench press as opposed to doing push-ups
so you are wasting everyone's time (including your own) taking up the bench

Says the girl that just told us that she super sets bench with tricep dips.

OP, I take it you are an only child.

Are you absolutely certain he said "I'm on that machine" and not "Your workout is obscene."(?)
Based on your superset workouts, i think this whole thing might be a big misunderstanding. Seriously.
I spent 50 years as a bodybuilder/powerlifter training at gyms from Philly to Hawaii....Let me tell you the rules.
Say you are benching, that bench is yours until you are done. When you have 300 or more lbs. loaded on the bar it's a pain to have someone want to work in and constantly be loading and unloading the bar. If someone asks to 'work in', you can say yes or no. You determine how long you want to rest or leave to get a drink or whatever. When you see a bar loaded or a gym bag there or a towel on the bar, that equipment is taken. A lat machine is a piece of equipment where you do a set and move away and let someone else use it because there are usually only 1-2 and everyone wants to use them.. Most of this is common sense but it's surprising how many rude people and idiots there are. I trained at the old Golds Gym in Venice when Arnold was a member(pre-acting) and even he politely asked me if I was done with a piece of equipment. These rules apply nationwide and probably Worldwide.
It’s saturday night and we in the spot!
Is it just me or does OP remind anyone else of Mitzy McIntosh?
Nope. Incorrect for the scenario described by the OP. Maybe, if it’s all dudes at a hardcore gym. But that’s not what was described. And why are you even on a running forum? Trying to bulk back down, I guess.
Got eight pages ?
Amazing what titilates here .
I dig a chick in the gym. YOu know my motto, hawt girls squat!! Bench will help build that chest for some fun times!!!
If that man was a SCRAWNY runner good for you because no one wants to see some pasty a$$ twig bench pressing the bar. In Xfit if you drop the barbell its fair game so you learn to protect your territory like a dawg!! You shouldve punched his WEAK runner butt into the ground! Now thats hot!!!!
OP, if you wanna get some real action come out to your local box and test out the "equipment", it'll blow your mind!
GymEtiquette,
The mistake you made was identifying yourself as a female. Many of the guys that post here not only don't like females they consider them the enemy.
Take note that a lot of the negative and hostile responses have attacked you on a personal level. If you were a male the responses would have not been so hostile. Ignore the boys that can't relate to women.
Watch how the old guy will now get slammed.
I have been wondering how differently this would have gone if I left my gender ambiguous. I’m not sure why personal attacks and assumptions had to be made about my character, or even why it was necessary to critique my workout (I doubt any of these hobby joggers went to college on a full athletic scholarship like I did, so I am going to keep doing what works for me).
You may be an “old guy” but you are far more level headed and rational in your assessments than some of these other guys on here who are probably younger. Keep fighting the good fight! Hope to see you at the gym one day lol
First of all, I would've been either equally as harsh or harsher with a guy.
Second, you sound like a terrible person to be around, regardless of gender. So entitled.
Third, your athletic scholarship means nothing, and I guarantee most of the posters here are better athletes than you. You said it took you 20 seconds to drag a bench.
Fourth, you only are praising this guy because you agree with him. you've argued with anyone who didn't agree with you. why'd you bother posting here if you assume you are right? Just to validate yourself?
Fifth, 8.5/10, you got called out early but you fought through it and kept going. Remarkable troll job, this could be one of the greats.
Men are supposed to be stronger than women. Don’t congratulate yourself and everyone else for what is obvious. Controlling for gender, I am probably a far superior athlete to most men on here. My sub 16 5k and 17 pull up PR is far more impressive than what most men on this forum can do, even if they are faster. Also, I wasnt exactly timing myself or pushing the bench to set a PR; you do know that there is a time and a place for that, right? is it impossible for you people to consider that 20 seconds and a few feet were best estimates? also the fact that I had to turn the bench around and walk it around another piece of equipment blocking a straight path? honestly, you people will cling to anything to suit your narrative.

No, that is exactly what we are saying. they were you best estimates and so far removed from reality that they are laughable. LRC, where your reality is but a dream.
Trolllalalla
So obvious weak "gender crybaby" troll.
1) I'm female.
2) I can only bench 90lbs.
3) I am angry at a male gymgoer.
4) Men have higher testosterone.
The rest of the discourse is bullshit-stirring.
