Elections have a conservative bias.
Looks like the unprecedented grassroots effort from Hollywood millionaires FAILED.

No, no, Ossoff never campaigned as an anti-Trumpster....
Ossoff, 30, a political newcomer, drew national attention to his campaign with the anti-Trump slogan, “Make Trump Furious.â€
Handel thanked many supporters and local and state officials, but it was when she thanked Trump that her crowd burst out in chants of "Trump! Trump! Trump!"

Ossoff, a 30-year-old documentary filmmaker-turned-Democratic politician, had received a steady stream of support from some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Some of the most vocal celebrity critics of President Donald Trump, including Rosie O’Donnell, Jane Fonda, and Samuel L. Jackson, donated time and money to help Ossoff’s campaign.
In April, Jackson cut a 45-second radio ad endorsing Ossoff, urging Georgia voters to “stop Donald Trump, a man who encourages racial and religious discrimination and sexism.â€
Actor John Leguizamo’s assertion that democracy itself hinged on Ossoff winning underscored how desperate Hollywood was to send a resounding message of resistance to Trump’s presidency.
But Handel showed them Who's the Boss!

Yep, Trump was a game changer.

http://politics.blog.ajc.com/2017/06/19/the-race-for-georgias-6th-district-now-costs-more-than-50m/The analysis shows Ossoff laid out $14.2 million on ad time and spent at least another $8 million on other costs. Handel spent $2.5 million on TV, radio and cable spots and had at least $1 million in other expenses
I think Dems are taking the defeat well.
So Ossoff got 48% in the primary, and then a bit less in the final round. What did the extra $30m from Hollywood celebs buy him, but some blowback?

Indeed.

This is when I love watching CNN and seeing the sad, shocked looks on their faces....Anderson Cooper is going to be sobbing on Brian Stelter's (his wife)
shoulder tonight as they snuggle in bed.
And he will still make more money in ONE night that you every will.
Alyssa Milano's still pretty hot.

I would tell the Dems to quit the elitism, but it is time for their party to dissolve and make way for a genuine left wing. So I hope they keep it up.
At least one consultant agrees with you, BW.

It means there's a 70% chance Ossoff wins and a 30% chance that MATH IS DEAD AND DATA IS BROKEN.

Even a broken clock it right twice a day you manage to be completely wrong about everything

Maybe you should stop using common core math

who's the bigger tool: people who say data is dead every time an upset happens, or people who think polling is a crystal ball
This must have been before they (CNN) cut away from the Handel's victory speech. (To talk about "Russia" or some conspiracy-nut story, or maybe it was taxes, I'm getting it confused with Rachel Maddow)

Best pic of the night.
There was a big "Not My Congresswoman" chant at Ossoff's HQs after the concession.
NB. Ossoff could only agree... ☺

A Republican candidate winning in a heavily Republican district. What's bonkers about that?
It seems like you are the one going bonkers.
And it was gerrymandered.
