Yes. The world has progressed since then. The point is that the statement that turn the other cheek made is wrong. Christianity has been an oppressive violent force in the world for most - if not all - of its history. The number of people killed by the U.S. rivals and probably exceeds the number killed by communists or Hitler or any other single nation in history. Is the U.S., by its nature, a Christian nation? I'm very interested to hear your answer to this.
