If you are using oxygen economically, then supply is not a limiting factor. Think of neuromotor skills, and forget the aerobic development dogma if you can because it is a false concept that we continue to develop aerobically. Think about how we develop these skills to help us perform at task with less fuel requirement, and you will begin to understand how no athlete, elite or not needs drugs to perform at their best level.
