As a lawyer, do people understand if even a small portion of this article is true, the University of Toledo could be paying these women a lot of money to settle lawsuits? All they need to do is file charges and contact the nearest lawyer. I'm sure Toledo is nervous. After the Penn State thing a jury is ready to award some big money.

Irrelevant reply, especially given that it is incorrect by the standards of quick message board comments.

Two things. I posted already on the other thread but I want everyone to see what I have to say. 2. Macmom is actually somebody's mother who in fact, does have full knowledge of the situation.

We are slowly moving away from the issue at hand.

A popular and successful coach is being accused of things that may or may not be true. Kevin Hadsell has admitted fault in the situation and has apologized. He can't do anything more than that. However, for this young lady, Emma, to continue running her mouth about things that did not happen (things such as driving the university van drunk), is just a little bit distasteful, don't you think? As a former mac athlete, I've been around and have discussed things from numerous parties involved. No one, and I mean NO ONE, should be ignorantly taking the side of either parties unless you were there and you know what is going on. You can't believe everything you hear, especially from an article that is borderline tabloid. The information that article presented is biased and 100% one sided; the author was tipped off by Emma Kertesz herself. Emma knew these things were going on months ago, and yet waited and waited until she said something. Doesn't that reek of scandal people? If she was really concerned about the well-being of her teammates and any other collegiate female athletes, she would have said something sooner. Instead, she took her phone, changed and manipulated text messages, and turned her coach in for apparently "sexually harassing" her. Anyone with some type of cognitive ability can tell by looking at those texts that there are pieces missing. Emma Kertesz did in fact have some type of interest in Hadsell whether it be sexually, or for some type of personal gain, perhaps both. Emma Kertesz is a sneaky, manipulative, pseudo victim that deserves just as much punishment as Kevin Hadsell. How dare she use him and the Toledo program for her personal gain? That team built themselves from the ground up with the help of coach Hadsell. And for someone to bring Ari Fisher into this mix, shame on you! Ari Fisher is an outstanding athlete who shares nothing but love and commitment to that program. In all sincerity, I bet Kertesz was flustered that such a prodigy got that assistant position over her. Far-fetched, but that's how women are these days. Such a shame. All of the current athletes and close friends and family of the Toledo program are aware of this situation, and know the truth behind what is going on. In fact, I am sure any MAC athlete that has been around this team knows that there is something fishy about this story. Kevin Hadsell didn't do this on his own. It takes two to tango. I honestly feel bad for the guy. I feel bad for Emma Kertesz's family who has no idea what she has done/been doing. I feel bad for her boyfriend, who apparently has no idea this texting was going on when they were dating. And finally, I feel extremely sad for Hansons Running for allowing her to be a part of their program. They have no idea what they are getting themselves into. Such a bad reputation to carry into such a great program. I hope they drop her like a bad habit.

MACMOM is obviousely trying very hard to defend her two daughters, one of which is Caitlin. Nothing justifies sexual harassment at any level. I do agree with the posts for people to grow up and move on. Most people will never know the full truth, but we all know Hadsell was out of line, a real predator and deserves what he is getting.

Does the term socio-path ring a bell. This guy could be president of the groups international society if they had one. Please stop making excuses for him ... he's a screwed up mess and needs to get some help.

Could you explain specifically how Emma is using her boyfriend to run professionally? I am under the impression that to get into a training group, you have to be good enough. I don't know of any clause that allows being a boyfriend/girlfriend allowing one to become part of the group and enjoy all the perks. Please help me understand this.

She couldn't get into the group before when she wanted to quit in December. She started dating this guy because he is a great runner. Going and visiting him during the school year allowed her to get closer to the team as well as talk to the coaches etc. It gave her an opportunity to "settle" herself into the "in-crowd" she so often referred to as existing on the team at Toledo.

She may in fact be a socio-path - I do not know her - but I do know that what Hadsell did is well within the confines of abnormal behavior. Please stop deflecting the conversation away from his inappropriate actions - they are indefensible and he is reaping exactly what he has sown. Blaming the victin really isn't going to work this time. Hadsell needs to be kept away from young women from this point on.

Until now, I've never understood or seen such a clear illustration unfold of why predators like Hadsell are able to get away with such harassment, manipulation and abuse for so long without being reported. I hope all of you Aholes are proud of yourselfs for continuing to make it easy for such creeps. To those blaming "Andrea," may another Hadsell "coach" all of your daughters someday.
