i have met many triathletes, since i started doing them last year, and i can honestly say i dont no what ur talking about. all the ones i have talked to have been really nice. one of my friends is ranked nationally and i didnt even no until almost a year of knowing him, so i can personally say they r not all into themselves. and y is it a big deal if they buy expensive bikes? how does that effect u in any way? they just want the best equipment, r u going to run in a $5 pair of shoes? i dont think so. and someone was making fun of the transition bags, what to u propose they do? carry everything while riding there bike to the transition area? wow ur a dumbass
