yes I was wrong...and have agreed to be banned for at least a week. If I am not banned officially, I will ban my self personally beginning at 1AM EST Sunday May 25th 2008 as a sign of my regret and repentance concerning my alleged knowledge. Sad day indeed.

...I do not consider it offensive, but it is definitely not cool; so I vote offensive. Suggested alternative: Small College Nationals. Many years ago the Little All-American football team was selected from all the small college programs. Today that is probably not PC.

Wejo: Several times (including today) the term "stud" has been used on the first page to describe a female athlete. You may wish to reconsider and possibly poll your readers on that one.

When I voted on the main page, I was thinking there was some national meet for parents to enter their young children to race. I just pictured a 5 year old trying to out kick another child in an 800 and immediately voted "offensive."

Now that I'm aware of the issue, I change my vote to "meh, whatever. The only people who get mad over this are D2, D3, and NCJAA athletes and alum."

7 minutes a mile is hard for me now. Trust me I'm not trying to put someone down to give myself a sense of superiority with my running.

It is obvious that you do not understand how big a portion DII and DIII runners are to your site. I don't understand why you are so antagonistic to such a large percentage of you readership. I have stayed away from the personal attacks, but you are definitely being thick-headed about this. Your arguments just don't make sense. It's your site, but your recent behavior and justifications are baffling.

I'm in the it's disrespectful but not offensive club. It was meant to be disrespectful, albeit only mildly or light-heartedly so. But I'm also with other posters who don't give a rip what Wejo thinks. His justification, in my opinion, is lame. And polling it to draw more attention to himself is again, in my humble opinion, also lame (as are the jerk trolls who are bashing DIII runners.)

Accuse anyone of running a fast time of using drugs.

Call anyone who is slower than you a jogger and tell them to quit.

Call for the elimination of thousands of participants who run over 2:25 in the marathon because it ruins the experience for the fast guys.

Insult any racial or ethnic group.

Insult family members and question others sexuality.

Freely admit you you are happy a distinguished senator is going to die.

Accuse Ryan Shay of using drugs hours after his passing.

BUT CALL DIVISION 2&3 BABY NATIONALS, AND THOSE ARE FIGHTING WORDS AND YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR BUDDY!!!!!

Why is letsrun so full of bashing and negative posts? Can we just support our sport and it's athletes at all levels? I'm going off the origial subject a bit, but why does this site have such rediuclous and negitive posts, like this one? To generate more traffic on the site because (unfortunately) people like bickering? The other sites don't have this.

No, Yalie. My logic is that because you never amounted to much on the world scene (and arguably never did on the national scene, either) somewhere deep down inside you feel insecure. Or maybe your obvious insecurity has other origins, something to do with your upbringing or who knows what. Either way, you want to take it out on someone and in your view of the competitive running world that means D2, D3, NAIA championships. Nevermind that any of those presents tougher competition than what Mr. All-East (whatever that is) ever triumphed over on the collegiate level. You can repeat "4th at outdoor nationals" until you're blue in the face, I don't care. Scotty Bauhs's collegiate career thinks your entire athletic career is a joke. If you don't think that treating all collegiate national championship meets in the US with respect will do anything to help raise the level of excellence in the sport, then I'm not sure why you even bother to maintain this site unless it's actually for completely gratuitous reasons. Calling them simply "college nationals" will in no way imply that you think they're better than or even as good as the D1 meet. Before you go assuming that I'm some disgruntled D3er or NAIAer, I ran D1 and admittedly never amounted to much though I ran with guys who went much further in the sport than you did. I wouldn't go out of my way to diss you, though, so I guess that's why I can't make sense of why you wouldn't just call something what it is rather than putting some obviously biased spin on it.
