"free testosterone" is unbound, and thus this is what is usable by the body, for muscle building, etc. Thus the original quote on atwell's post, while correct, was slightly misleading, since when most people think of testosterone they are thinking of the "free" amount, rather than the "total" amount.
The point is that it is intentionally misleading. It's not atwell's fault necessarily (I understand he just got it from a vegan website). However, pushing the vegan agenda without looking up the actual study seems to be unintelligent.

well those particular raw foods are very good, but also extremely expensive... i doubt anyone on that diet could afford kobe sashimi everyday.

You don't think humans are natural grain eaters? Humans aren't natural vegetarians either, but that doesn't stop you from advocating a veggie diet. I would also point out that bananas can't be eaten in their natural state (wild bananas have large seeds and are quite inedible. Cultivated bananas require human intervention to propogate and the most popular varieties were quite recently created). Why is it okay to eat bananas but not grains?
It is perfectly possible to make a rational case for vegetarianism, but you are just spouting nonsense.

I have been eating this 30 banana-a-meal diet lately and I feel really awful all of the time.
I have also decided to add leafy greens and other more substantial fruits and vegetables like avocados and potatoes, but I am wondering if i need to be sticking ONLY to bananas.
Has anyone gone this route?
