O'Brien will win the 800. He won two national championships last year, and will his third on his HOME track. The 800m final will be Kosgei's 4th race in 2 days. No way will he beat a fresh O'Brien. I could see an argument for Kosgei if he was not running the mile, but he is.
He has lost one race in the 800 in the past 3 seasons. That was at Hillsdale last year where he ran 1:49 and lost to Jeff See who is a sub 4 miler. If O'Brien is pushed he can most likely run 1:50 right now. I doubt Kosgei could run that on a double. I can't believe O'Brien is the underdog, especially when he will have the whole fieldhouse cheering his name. He does not get the attention or credit he deserves b/c he is not from the Northeast or Wisconsin. O'Brien for the "W".

I think he means Justin Craddock...last I heard he's taking classes at a SUNY school getting ready for the fall.
10 is the minimum.
you just suck. Are you arguing with yourself. Who said who's gonna beat who? Thanks for giving us O'brien's biography you bastard!
Sheeesh- chill out, man.

Why, is the basketball Final Four this weekend? (I just checked--NYU isn't in it.) In any case, it's certainly not going to be in track--given that they have one competitor in the meet, the most points he could score would be ten, and it's pretty likely that at least one school will score more than ten points...
Maybe he meant an individual championship- Hany has as good a shot as anyone in the field. That being said. . the 5k field is pretty nasty this year. I think pretty much anyone entered could win it.
Sames for the win in the 800...watch out
Zdroik will win the 5k by a mustache.
zdroik will scratch the 5k...i bet anything on that. After he runs the mile and DMR he will be done.
400-
1.Linton 48.11 2.Ollison 3.Ver Duin 4. Wolf
800-
1.O'Brien 1:51 2.Stenuf 3.Kehoe 4.Lambert
(4th race for Kosgei in 2 days.)
Mile-
1.Kosgei 4:08 2.Grant 3.Wager 4.Zdroik
5k-
1. Kaul 14:32 2.Sigl 3.Erichsen 4.Abdallah (last k in 2:40)
DMR-
1.Lacrosse 9:58 2.Williams 3.Platteville 4.Whitewater
anybody want to yell at me... my guess is yes
800: Taddy, Couzzo, Scott
Mile: Taddy, Beck, Mitchell
5k: Adams, Jordahl, Wilson
DMR: St. Thomas, Tufts, College of NJ
Am I the only one that gets ridiculed by my friends (the ones not associated with track and field) for caring so much about track and field?
People will talk about March Madness coming up and are constantly making predictions about who will go all the way. And I'll respond with "Well what about track,I can't wait to see what happens at Nationals with the DMR, the 800, the mile, and the 5k. So many people could win, it's going to b----"[cut off by my friends look of disgust/pity], I start to walk away with my head down and under my breath whisper "I'm just saying...it's going to be great"
Watching Stenuf run for 4 years in the NYSCTC, I think he's got a good shot in a championship-type final. I've watched him out kick many fine 400/800 runners. I think he can run a good 800 either way, though, from the front or the back. I've seen him take it out in 51-52 and hold on. I don't know a lot about this year's 800 field, and the only reason I'm writing this is to support a Rochester guy, but Stenuf FTW!
Is is me, or if you go to raceberryjam and look at the heat sheets, Taddy isn't in the 800 or 1600 anymore. Does anyone know why? I know on trackshark, there's an interview with her, saying she didnt think she was eligible until 2 weeks go. Maybe she wasnt eligible after all? Or is she getting ready for outdoors or the trials? Anyways, here is my predictions for the guys and gals...
Guys
800- O'Brien, Stenuf, Kosgei
1600- Kosgei, Zdroik, Harvey
5000- Erichsen, Sigl, Abdallah
DMR- Platteville, Lacrosse, Loras
Girls
800- Herrick, Scott, Wild (Taddy Top 3 if she runs)
1600- Bradley, Beck, Borner
5000- Adams, Krieg, Pavlus
DMR- Tufts, TCNJ. St. Thomas

Oh yea, tons of people follow D3 track. Only slightly less than D1 hoops. I'm actually shocked people ridicule you for comparing your Final 4 predictions to who will win the indoor 800m at Ohio Northern.
Dude, stop being a nerd.
hmm it does appear that Taddy is not on the heat sheets... that brings up the problem that she was picked as Midwest athlete of the year and OVERALL athlete of the year!! what are they going to do? she obviously cant get it since she isnt eligible in the NCAA (im assuming this is the problem or why else would she have entered in the first place?) nats starts tomorrow.. how are they going to re-vote? what can they do?
and since im a stalker her facebook status is:
Marcia Taddy
is wishing she could be running at Nats :(.
so my guess is she is ineligible
