Yes, that's why I said "in the past". And 18 is 50% more than 12. 50% is a lot. And are you counting every race, every heat, every time she stepped on the track? How about counting how many meets she attended? She competed a lot this year due to GST, the US championship and the WC. Last year it was the Olympic qualifier, the Olympics and a Brussels WR attempt. Look past the last two years and see how often she shows up. Like I said, I love SML but it's a fair criticism to say she doesn't compete enough.
As for Paulino, I don't know what her motivation was for her comments but I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt, especially when their comments are translated.
