Is Kerr OK? That looked like a calf pull?

It was interesting he was even in position for the contact to occur. Cheruiyot was expecting him to stride away along with Laros. Instead Kerr was diving/struggling for the line and Tim was contacted himself from behind as he tried to hold his position while not barging into Kerr. Unfortunate situation but that’s championship racing.

This was covered in the follow-up BBC interview. Wightman and Kerr both confirmed that the race wasn't on the big screen and so they couldn't see how quickly the runners behind them were coming, which they usually would have if the screen was on. I think they had both thought that 6 were already clear and so they were just coasting it in but little did they know there was actually a 7th runner and so a full-on race was right behind them for qualification. Kerr didn't dive for the line, he was tripped by Tim as you can see from the front angle where his leg goes extremely squint and then he falls completely.

Kerr seemed unusually irritated at the start of the interview and so I'm guessing he was immediately concerned about how his calf was feeling after the fall.

I just saw Kerr start and finish LAST.

KERR JUST LOST. This is a conspiracy. The whole "he tore a muscle" it just means ---HE IS OLD and not fit enough to race these guys. HE was last.

Also Kerr is super old man now. Shouldnt he just retired and raise his kid. The guy is like 27, hes so old.

Good runners should all retire around 25 after the peak at 24. 25 and up is Masters.
