The GOAT thinks he can win without ice. That’d be impressive
At black canyon Eli Hemming was in the lead and thought he could out talent the rest of the field by not using ice. He faded. I’ve ran this race twice. You need a cooling strategy. I guess Kilian is the freak among freaks so you can’t question it I suppose.

During his last video, they asked what was in his bottle, and he was like "olive oil". It clearly was, too. Awkward silence followed. Dude is just... Not normal 😂
Not gonna lie: watching these freaks pick up pacers at this point feels strange. They are going too fast with too many people on the course and all the live coverage in order to need one.
Jimbo himself said it: pacers are becoming obsolete.
I'd be amazed if they're not all doing sufficient heat prep. The recent noise seems to be it filtering down to the 'normal' (not elite) athlete population.
Jeff just caught up with Kilian at Forest Hill, looks like these flatter road sections are Kilians Kryptonite.
It even looks like Kilian's pacer is dropping him on the first downhill after the aid station. He has a gap on the GOAT. Maybe he's trying to push the pace?

Somebody please sub in for Dylan and Corrine for a couple hours, they sound completely cooked. Doing a great job don't get me wrong but they both sound so tired 😅

Exactly, all the elites know how to heat train and take it seriously. Plenty of literature of training anecdotes for everyone to figure out a good protocol.
Still lots of variation in how people will handle the heat on the day to keep things exciting though!

That trail is technical enough that I would like to see 50 feet ahead if I was Kilian
