You need to learn to mind your own business.

Telling him to mind his own business is NOT minding YOUR own business, jackass! (why can't he express HIS OPINION????)
And pollution, Global Warming, relianace on Middle Eastern Dictatorship Oil, rising gas prices, the economy, disappearing fossil fuels, crowded roads, safety for other drivers and runners/bikers is EVERYONE'S F'N BUSINESS. And Hummers and Hummer owners effect all of those categories in a negative way.
So......did I say that you were a jackass??? Oh yeah, I already did, my bad (but it was worth repeating....again........jackass).

So can we assume you drive a massive vehicle?

There are plenty of safe cars out there that are more practical. I drive a Subaru Forester... And the base price is about $10,000 less than an H2...
Either Foresters are very expensive where you live or Hummers are very cheap. Foresters are in the 20k range MSRP (the larger Tribeca is in the 30's) and the Hummer H2 is in the 50's. You could buy his and hers Foresters for the price of an H2.
Jim,
I was going off the base price of the Forester X and the low end H3...so $21,700 for the Forester and $29,500 for the H3. A little less than $10,000, but still a big difference. If you're talking H2, then yeah, you're sending your kids to Harvard instead of Geneseo State.
I prefer my wife and kids to be in a larger automobile. I actally drove an outback until I purchased my Honda. Great cars.
It did not cost me $50 thousand dollars.
We don't have to parallel park very often, and we do not travel in the Hummer.
I don't drive the Hummer unless I am hauling something for the yard. We have a large yard.
I am telling you, we use less gas in the Hummer than we do in my Honda.

I think I have the best possible solution for you:
1. Buy a car you enjoy (like the Outback or Honda you mentioned) that's a couple of years old.
2. Buy a bunch of gas shocks from the local automotive shop. A dozen should do.
3. Go to the local material supply house and buy a bunch of steel channel, say 4"x4".
4. Take items 1, 2 and 3 above to a local welder. Have him weld the shocks to the channels and then attach the pieces to the periphery of the car.
You now have a grown-up version of a bumper car. Granted, it won't be pretty but it will be prettier than a Hummer, a helluva lot more unique, and easier to park. You'll get better mileage, the comfort you like, a very safe ride and the satisfaction of doing something useful. Also, you'll save a good bit of coin.

I don't blame you. I would drive that Hummer as little as possible too. Yard waste is a great thing to have a Hummer for.

that's sad, but i guess it doesn't surprise me. they're rich guys who live in a rich city.
I want to buy a safe car that makes me feel important.
Should I buy a H3. Good car but what if I had an accident with a H2. Also, how would I feel if a big H2 pulled up to my side and I was in a dinky H3. I guess I should get the H2.
What about the H1 you say?...........well that just would be a silly purchase. I'm too smart and secure for that.
game over Hummer.

Anyone see a problem with all this whining about what other people own? The same do-nothing crowd of complainers about losing "our rights" to the government now wants to impose their will on a free market place that restricts what Americans can drive....bunch of hypocrites.
Ever hear a California liberal politician bitching about W wiping out the environment, global warming blah blah blah...most of the time the interview is from the back of a limo or while flying in a private jet.
This is America-wanna have your freedom of choice restricted, move to Mexico and ride a donkey.

Global Warming....OMG, we are all going to die!!!! aaahhhhhhhh You are an idiot...we rely on Middle eastern oil because numbnuts like you on the left do everything you can to keep America from drilling here. God bless Hummer owners because they make enough good ol American greenbacks to drive one....all this is is class envy. You cant afford one, so noone else should either.
It is my God given right to drive anything I want to drive. You pansy liberals that worry about the deficit, pollution, global warming, what I shoot, and the Iraqi war are trying to limit my freedom.
If I can afford a huge gas guzzler that is my right. If my truck is dangerous to you than earn more more and buy a bigger one than me.
We're American we don't answer to anyone. I could give a crap if a bunch of muslims are tortured shot or killed. Really I don't care. Some of them could be terrorists.
My Hummer is my statement of independence. I look out well for myself and you can do the same.
Its called freedom!
Interesing collection of posts. Some a bit scary.
How many people who have posted here know the meaning of the word "Selfish"?
Hummer = Selfish

Correct, it is my right to drive what I want-DEMOCRACY.
Liberals are all spin..name one thing worthwhile they have DONE to help working class Americans. Every liberal state in the Union is overburdened with high taxes..try living in Boston or NYC.
America does not answer to anyone, get over it.
I DO NOT GIVE A CRAP IF MUSLIMS ARE GETTING KILLED-THEY ARE DOING EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO KILL AMERICANS. Muslims flew a few planes over here a couple years back, remember? Oh yeah, bombed the WTC, countless embassy's, kidnapped and on tape beheaded Americans. We are suppossed to wring our hands when they are actively trying to kill Americans?
I am not going to FEEL BAD because America is the greatest nation on the planet. Proud to be AMERICAN, proud to be a Marine....
oh yeah, please do me a big favor....EAT SHIT AND DIE.....hows that?
Anytime I can get a hummer I take it.

Hey man, gotta laugh at that one.....
Chesty Puller is rollin over in his grave...God rest his soul.
so if you're american you can do anything you want? like wreck the environment for your kids? makes a lot of sense. being the greatest country means bearing some social responsibility and not sinking to the same level as terrorists. it's people like you that have caused the terrorists to multiply.
