They also return Hayden Keilsich who ran 15:39 at Woodward Park last season (idk why his track times are mediocre compared to his 5k time- it seems that even his teammates have faster track times than him).
CIF Southern Section has more than 500 freshman boys running faster than 5:00 minute mile. It's impossible to know how many of those are going to be running sub 4:20 or 4:10 by junior year. It's foolhardy to predict fall XC times by frosh 1600 times.
Ik there’s a lot of talk about Jserra and Palos Verdes but don’t sleep… and I mean DONT sleep on Saint Mary’s College from Berkeley. Sacramento meet of champions just proved how much of a threat they will and I mean WILL be in D4.
Another updated list. Not that much has changed. Probably the last one I will do until before next season, when we hear about transfers. Oak Ridge, Granada and Maria Carrillo made the list for the first time. And as I always mention, I don't number the list because I don't view it as a sequential list, just a measure of current relative strength.

Excited to see how this group continues to progress going into next fall. The beckman coach has been awesome at developing runners since he took over the program.

Syed's 9:22 is amazing considering his previous PR was 9:49, and he had made a few serious runs at 3200m already this season. The 9:49 is also perfectly inline with his 4:34 1600m just 3 days ago. The 9:22 almost looks like a timing bib switch, but if true that is an incredible breakthrough, especially this late in the season.
None of Syed's other times or performances have ever indicated that he is capable of 9:22, although he did solo a sub-10 3200m his freshmen year. But 9:22 is just insanely fast; he beat all his fellow beckman teammates and every other 3200m runner in the league besides dana's duo. It's very plausible that it's an error, but if it's correct, that's damn scary.

If Syed really ran that fast, then with the depth of the rest of the team, Beckman’s gotta be a top 2 team in the state next fall overall, and a top 10 team in the nation. Better than Matilda Torres.
I’d say that California XC 2025 will be stronger and deeper than 2024 on the boys side, and people thought for a long time that this is going to be true.

Menlo was a fluke last year and will be terrible
Gotta respect them for being the first D5 team to make NXN though. But yes, they won’t be up there like they were last year. They are losing 3 scorers. Oaks Christian and Glendora will be in the same situation
