Abortion is no longer protected because of Trump, and his VP is obviously a fan of a national ban. Women die because of decisions like this. Saying that he doesn't affect people's lives is idiotic.
What do the majority of Trump supporters think should happen to the other legal cases that Trump is facing?
Do they think the indictments against him should go away and those cases be dismissed?
The cases were an abuse of the justice system by the left in an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to get Trump disqualified before the election (ironically it ultimately helped make him more popular). Trying to proceed with these farcical trials at this point would be a coup attempt far worse than January 6.
The Merchan case should be thrown out due to the immunity ruling since the specific second crime required to elevate expired misdemeanors to felonies was never identified (and the jury instructions so broad) it is impossible to determine whether it was part of his official duties (since a number of the witnesses called by the prosecutors were individuals acting in their official duty). The main purpose of that case was never to arrest Trump, but to shame Trump in the eye of the religious right for sleeping with a porn star while his wife was pregnant.
The Jack Smith case was already a bust. He just made one final fruitless attempt to slander Trump as an act of election interference right before the election. With Garland getting replaced, this does not go forward.
The people of Georgia voted on the Fani Case last night. He was found awesome by his peers. Pretty good indication of where this would end up in a jury trial.
The confidential documents case should suffer the same fate as Biden’s.
Why spout facts when zealot-driven lies support your false narrative?
So that means the Nazis didn't use "scorched earth" on the Soviet Union 4 years later on an unprecedented scale? There's your "false narrative".
Armstronglivs obviously has no idea what scorched earth means. Scorched earth was used by the Russians to defeat the Nazis (and previously Napoleon). Russians would retreat and burn their crops and infrastructure so the Nazis (and previously Napoleon) could not live off of the land. Nazis ran out of food and supplies and were forced to retreat as winter approached.
I was really hoping Armstronglivs would get something correct but he obviously has a complete nonsensical understanding of history.
Good God. It was you that mentioned that the term originated in 1941 and fought tooth and nail when I indicated it did not. You then decided to move the goal posts when it became apparent that you were wrong.
I agree the term is synonymous with, for brevity, the imposition of extreme measures. This understanding pre-dates nazi Germany by decades and centuries, as noted by others.
It is you and others here who want to die on the hill of when did the term originate (which didn't predate the Nazis by centuries but was in the same era, with the Japanese attack on Manchuria, and has its most potent associations with Nazi devastation in Russia) while not addressing how it was being applied here in approval of Trump policies. I asked you what do you have to say about that - but nothing. That is because you are of course a Trumper - but one who really cares about the origins of words, the big picture here.
Except that you are wrong on that part too.
Scorched earth was largely used by the Russians to stop the Nazis. Russians burned their own fields and villages to prevent the Nazis from gaining control of these resources. Germany outran its supply lines and was without food and supplies as winter approached.
I cannot wait on your take about the British bombing Pearl Harbor, the Nazis heroic landings on Omaha Beach during the D Day Invasions, or Japan dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki next.
How can someone who has been proven wrong on basically everything over the past month continue to put out wrong information (even when proven wrong numerous times) with so much confidence? When does the humility to admit that you are wrong begin?

How does the number of women dying because of these decisions compared to babies dying because of abortion?
Whatever the reason(s) for the Dems getting smoked, the most important fact is that it happened. In the face of catastrophic failure, people in leadership positions should be held accountable.
I don't expect it to happen, but what should happen is for the olds at the helm of the Democratic party to step away from the levers of power and take a backseat when it comes crafting party strategy/messaging. The DNC needs to be dissolved or completely overhauled. The relationships between Dems and the useless mainstream media/their corporate donors need to change fundamentally. Nobody wants to hear "we need to come together to fight fascism" from a bunch of proven losers. I'd be happy if I never hear another word from the Clintons, Obamas, Pelosis, Schumers, or goddam Cheyneys again.
New blood is a must. Find some young, genuinely angry fighters (left, center, whatever) who hate magga, are good in front of the camera and resonate with normal people and promote them constantly. They don't have to be current politicians! Disposition is vastly more important than experience or policy platform. (No D policies are going anywhere for a long time.) The left does not have enough effective attack dogs.
What stands out to me about Harris's strategy is that, in the face of Project 2025, the failed coup leader regaining power, and an endless stream of low-down pathetic insults (e.g., low IQ, not really black, whore, communist), she ran a nice campaign. She attempted to project joy. She picked swell ol' teachercoachdad to be VP. The big insult she unleashed on this, irredeemable, monumental POS traitor scum is that he was "weird."
Hope, joy, earnest handshakes, light-hearted pandering, phony smiles, celebrity hobnobbing, reaching across the aisle, civility, respecting America's institutions, looking forward to a better future. These are a bill of goods you can't trick people into buying anymore. Voters are in the market for rage and righteous grievance. That's what works, that's what is necessary going forward, and that's what might have saved us from being ruled yet again by King Idiot.
I mean, look at Obama's statement on Trump's reelection. Just asinine. Dems need the opposite of whatever this is.
Yes absolutely true. It wasn't until 2016 when Trump and his cult took over that Americans could start to understand what happened in Europe 80 years ago. Now we understand that there is a certain type of human, widespread throughout the population, that wants nothing more than to be told what to think and do, wants a fellow citizen to hate and blame for all their own problems in life and to be told it is okay to persecute them and take away their rights in order to feel better, and if a politician does these things then those types of people will slobber all over themselves to worship that person and excuse every evil thing he does.
That's where America insanely and sadly finds itself again, for the second time. We all thought after january 2021 America had emerged limping but still alive after a dark period in American history, but we plunge back into the darkness now.
Corruption and criminality in govt is going to skyrocket again, led by Trump and his cronies. International politics is going to suffer again with Trump's utter lack of understanding America's foreign policy interests and his ability to blunder his way through even the easiest situations. Expect a staunchly pro-Russia and pro-genocide American govt to start under Trump. Tariffs and the other mad ideas of Trump on the economy are gonna raise the cost on everything all over again.
America is going to stop making progress toward the future as Trump will cut off future focused technologies like green energy, as the nations interests turn firmly towards backwards looking rather than future looking. Violence and division in society is going to skyrocket again Trump supporters once again feel their violence and hatred and bigotry vindicated and Trump will tell them everyday it is okay to persecute people and hate their fellow Americans who simply want to live their lives in peace and freedom. Expect fiscal policy to get worse again as inflation rises and tax cuts increase deficits. Expect daily insults and attacks on Americans and American companies and Trump's political adversaries and America's international allies, just as we saw in his first term.
Expect endless and constant corruption, outlandish lies, pettiness, weekly scandals, constant tantrum throwing and acting like a child and blaming others for all his own mistakes, all hallmarks of a Trump presidency. Expect Trump to once again ignore the constitution consistently and ignore checks and balances in govt and Republicans to allow him to never be held accountable. And expect a whole new spate of crimes Trump will commit to add to his heinous crimes against America from his first presidency.
Also fully expect, in whatever maimed state the country find itself in by 2028, for Trump to have the justice department open up sham criminal investigations into whoever runs as the Democrat next election. 2028 US election is gonna look a lot more like elections in Russia and other countries where they simply imprison the political opponents. Though I don't think even Trump and all his corruption and the corrupted court system will actually be able to put the Democrat in prison, they are gonna do everything they can to politically weaponize the justice system against Democrats out of Trump's crazy grievance that the nation actually rather tepidly tried to hold him account for his actual crimes.
By the time Trump is through, we may not recognize the nation. It's getting hard to recognize the nation already after the past few decades of Republicans corruption, and the recent years of m@ga cu1t darkness and Trump/Repub corruption of the courts and congress and the govt in general. Dark times indeed ahead. Pray we still have some semblance of a free nation in four years and that we still have a functioning democracy then. In Trump's first presidency we saw how weak America's system is when one side just completely abandons any pretense of respecting it. This second time expect Trump and Repubs to be even less concerned with respecting any notion of Americans constitution and government rules. We're likely witness the gradual fall of America with this corruption. Really sad humans are so quick to give away their power when someone tells them its okay to hate people and to not think for yourself.
All Trump supporters. For a real laugh replace "Trump" with "Harris" in the above post. It becomes possibly 100% accurate.
That's the usual way the Trump cult lies about everything. Others are accused of what you do.
But none of you bullsh*tters addressed the context in which it is being used here, which was to advocate its use in purging the State sector of non-Trump loyalists - "scorched earth". The exact origins of a word is vastly more important to you than that the tactic of military brutality it describes be applied to obvious "enemies of the people" by Trump and his supporters. You make clear what you are.

You won't have to worry about the exact historical origins of terms of devastation because you will see them repeated in one form or another in Trump's America. There are so many "enemies of the people" to be gotten rid of.

I think your brain was purged of all but two brain cells, of which you rubbed together to generate the BS nonsense you have been spewing on here for months.
the sad part is I can't tell if you're joking or not
This is his wife - YES HE WAS SERIOUS. I told him if Trump won, I would sleep with him more, and cook more and work less. Cant wait to see how this goes for our marriage....so far not too bad. I can be wrong a lot, so I guess I do need a man, i admit.

Posts like yours are gratifying. They make palpably clear what has driven so many Americans into the embrace of a lying criminal misogynist racist. The kindest explanation is stupidity but unfortunately the truth is that you're all like him, one way or another.

I seriously hope you are trolling people because everything you have posted for the last several months has been proven wrong.
There is no way someone can be proven wrong on absolutely everything for months, have such a poor understanding of history, and still have so much confidence in their delusional rants.
Maybe it is time to humble yourself and understand that you have no idea about anything you are talking about? You seem obsessed with Nazis but somehow believe that the Nazis used scorched earth policy to defeat the Russians during World War II among other things.

You prove nothing except your adherence to the kind of opinions that bring you here. They also explain how the US has embraced clearly the most stupid president it has ever had in its history.
That the US has gone from Lincoln to Trump in 164 years says everything about the decline in American culture. It is terminal. Read Lincoln's Second Inauguration and see how nothing so elevated and profound could ever have come from the buffoon at Madison Square Garden. But Trump is half of America today - the half that will bring it down.

The only person Democrats hated more than Trump was Lincoln.
They almost destroyed their party over that hatred.
Only the leniency of General Grant, General Sherman, and President Johnson saved them.

Lincoln would have hated you too.
Lincoln didn't hate people. He brought them together. But you know nothing about him. You're a dogmatist of the right, and hate is all you've got.
